You'd be hard pressed to find a better spot than that, wow! In a way it's good that it is in private hands because too many people going there would ruin it. A quick note for Harry regarding Fred. Be wary of getting fred to run that hard as he gets older as the cruciate ligament can rupture. We had that happen with our lovely Lucy who was a dober cross and it took a long time to get her right again. Heavy dogs seems to suffer more from this.

I was there about 3 years ago there was a decent size python in the roof of one of the shacks that scared the s”;t out of us. My partners dad built the shacks and she and her siblings scattered his ashes out to sea there. He loved to tell stories about the fishing trips he did as a young fella down there

The river is not private property nor are the banks up to the flood line. Anyone that can boat, kayak, swim, walk down the river can be there. The only exceptions are naval bases/shipyards and ports.

I went there as a 16 yo on a fishing trip with some older blokes who knew the owner. He let us go through the farm and along a bush track to a cool beach further east. There was an old shack and a reef just off the beach with a channel between. Great spot. My dad had a photo from around the 1940's of a huge blue groper hauled up on the homestead verandah. Must have been well over a metre in length. The entire area coastline is awesome. There is a good surf break close by as well which the local crew kept a secret. Access got cut off apparently when some idiots spooked some cattle off a cliff. I sailed in close on a south coast sailing trip to have a look back in the 90's. It still looked pristine with nobody in sight. I would love to go back sometime but might be dreaming.

You 2 are just too good together, the kinda location we dream of and would be loving every second there!!! I'd love to see that beach in person, if it wasnt private i would have maybe almost been there like most of the local beaches down that way, Harry you're one lucky bloke, theres a few beaches you we can snag to ourselves but this one is next level!! Gotta love our back yard in the great southern 👌🏼😎

I have a friend with family that has owned property for 4 generations. About 150 yrs. It's a paddock for cattle watering and grazing and they own the water rights of three miles of large creek that has a fish hatchery at the top. Totally private and incredible! Looks like you guys had fun. Cheers, Cam!🎉

Loved it, what a brilliant property to have access to! If only it were a hip camp :) Great salmon on the light gear too mate. I have also caught salmon like that down south coast and have been told that there are certain places that act as "Hospital Reefs", where salmon injured by sharks and dolphins during the migration hold up and recover before joining the migration the next year. These reefs and nearby beaches hold salmon all year round.

Those two beaches, if they're the ones I think they are clouded in mystery to Albany, locals everything from bikies to terriost to the resort and people saying they been shot at years ago the one closer to Albany used to be accessible through the private property as long as you closed the gates behind u my dad used to tell me it was one of the softest beaches to drive on in the area
