I think it's okay for realistic dolls to have genitals, since kids shouldn't feel ashamed or scared when they find out they have them, but when the doll is super un-realistic it absolutely doesn't need that. If anyone is wondering about the kind of thing that is being talked about here specifically, these dolls are referred to in advertising as “tots” and many of them are referred to as babies. Some of them wear fishnets and some wear thigh-high boots with essentially underwear-cut shorts. They even made one based on Britney Spears in the “baby one more time” video, at which point we have a baby doll dressed as an adult woman dressed as a sexualized schoolgirl.

When I was young (I was 6 - 7 ) I LOVED these dolls. They were kinda popular in my school. I loved dressing them up and making stories with my little sister too. I used to buy a lot of them, but every time I took one my mother saw me strange, like suspicious. My parents often argued and one day I heard them talking about these dolls, calling them disgusting and that they should be removed from the market. The next day, I wanted to buy another one, but my mother said no. She wouldn't even let me play with these dolla anymore. I always insisted, but she always said no. After many whims my passion disappeared, but I always asked myself "why doesn't mommy let me play with these dolls anymore?" Now I grew up and I found the answer. a sadly true answer about this disgusting society. (English is not my native language I used traslate for make this)

One Christmas 5 or 6 years ago, my little sister (who was 4 or 5 at the time), got a little male LOL Doll, and I didn't think anything of it, because I was 10 or 11 at the time, and just liked what I liked. However, my dad started to play with the doll just for fun, and as he took the clothes off so he could dress the doll, he noticed that the doll actually had a VERY detailed male genital. He and I found it funny at the time, me especially because I didn't know about sex at the time, so I just laughed it off, but my mother was quite concerned about it, but never actually took the doll away. I think that it is kinda weird now that I think about it...

This reminds me a lot of the earring magic ken doll. In the 90s i beieve mattel wanted to give Ken a hip nea look, and the fashion they based it off was like people at night clubs, and Ken ended up with a necklace with an earring on it that looked a lot like an adult toy. These dolls seem to be something similiar. The designers are basing the fashion off what is currently popular, which includes creators who dress in pretty revealing clothing. A lot of popular fashion is "sexualizing" and the designors seem to be pulling from it without thinking about how weird that kind of fashion is on baby dolls. Also I've seen aome of y'all in the comments who think its suspicious the dolls can pee or whatever; i think that's not the company being creepy as much as poor design choice. A lot of baby dolls can pee or cry or do whatever so they wanted those features without thinking about how they're selling fashion dolls. As for why the boys have their jewels out, yeah, i nave no idea. Many animal toys will have those sculpted on but they're animals you know so idk. Was the concern kids wouldnt be able to tell they're boys otherwise? Because i can assure the designors that does not matter, there's probably some kids who just pretend they're girls anyway because they only have a boy and a girl doll and rhey want another girl or smth
