I have managed to make The Sims 1 run on all the Windows versions I’ve had. I’m currently using a Windows 10 laptop. This is what I did: 1) I have a physical copy, so I installed the base game and all the expansions using an external DVD recorder under this rute: C:\Program Files (x86)\Maxis\The Sims 2) Click on the shortcut that appears on your desktop, and under Properties, make sure you check these 2 boxes: -Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows 8 -Run this program as an administrator I hope it works, I haven’t had any issues following these steps ^^ PS: A Sims Monopoly game sounds like a dream, I NEED one! 😍

I mean prizes aside I do think some ideas of them were cool like the postcard set, the shirt with the symbols and the freezer bunny. But I also wrote in their community tab that I want to see them bring posters of iconic ingame pictures into the shop (be it the Bella portrait of the sims 2, the ghost pics of the sims 3 that changed, or the bob pancakes poster in the sims 4 build and buy etc). Also i need them to make products regarding all the iconic Townies we have and their lore like of course Bella, the goths, don, the calientes, olive Spector, nervous subject, the beakers, the curious, the smith family. And others from the sims 2,3 and 4. is it even possible for them license wise with the sims 2 and 3? If not what a wasted potential they had on their hands years ago with the sims 2 and 3 and Merch shops like that. Bc if they now can only do the sims 4 that’s kinda sad

I want to second what @thepokemonqueen said below. The in game snowglobes would be an awesome merch item. As would the My Sims Trophies, San Myshuno Posters, collectible Postcards, Werewolves relics, miniature versions of Blarfy, Uni, and the new Squatch from Werewolves... the list could go on and on, I imagine. The game contains all kinds of cool things we all love, each of us with our own favorite items. I truly hope they expand on the offerings. I'm not sure what I was hoping to find, but the apparel was offered in colors I simply don't wear, and the postcards sold out. In fact, all of it sold out so fast. Were they unsure how it would be received or unprepared? A game played by millions, and it sells out in a couple hours. Really?!?

Then moving onto this concept-- Bella and Mortimer dolls, or as collectible mini figures or like barbies. You could have a whole line of them with all in game families. - AND you could make a whole like dollhouse set with these figures that also has most iconic furniture and items from all Sims games. The castle /space kid beds from the Sims 2. Heart Bed of course would be in the set. Alien crib. Various cars from game. spining thing. All in the dollhouse set. All of the favs in it.

The internet archive has the Sims 1 complete collection avalible for download, and they have some instructions on how to run the game. I don’t currently have a PC, just a Mac, so idk if the most recent Windows updates still let the game be played, but you can at least get it for free!

I think they should make the very iconic sims artwork, like the kitchen posters, the really expensive portraits of sims, and the movie posters and the tragic clown. And then the plumbob lamps from sims 3, which they could just make it color changing. And then make little desk figures for the gnomes from all the games, and then have select ones be made full size gnomes. A large social bunny stuffy would be funny. Maybe release the TV shows they watch on physical, especially the workout videos and just have them on loop to actually workout to haha. Have some iconic bed sets from all the games, maybe t-shirts with referencing sims 2 murders like removing ladders lol. Homeless cardboard sign with Giant simoleon on it like from sims 2. More plumbob themed stuff in general. Like where are the plumbob earrings and jewelry??? So many possibilities

The only way I got sims 1 to work was on an old computer running windows 7. It was cheap enough and even ran sims 2 as well. I have sims 2 on windows 10 now so don’t use it on the windows 7 pc. Hope this helps in some way Jessie

I think it would be awesome to take items from the game like you said for mercy. However, I would choose from each game like the most iconic things that are possible. Maybe Bob Pancakes Robe. Bobs shirt. Genie Lamp from earlier games. Inflatable chairs from earlier game but put plumbob on them. Tragic Clown poster/Art. bonehilda costume for Halloween time. The ugly eyeall ring. (Mostly because its hilarious how almost every Sim emerges with that blasted ring.)

Checked out the merch after watching a makeup tutorial then I got really curious and hopeful that they'd at least have an eyeshadow pallet 😂😂😂 I know wishful thing but I really want official (good/corney) sims make up to add to my collection 😢 anyway after that disappointment, I was tempted by the pins, its something not too obtrusive and cute to keep, I have a pins collection, and like to put on my blazers or shirt collars, some work spaces let you jazz up your lanyard with them, and they're very long term, but I didn't look at the price I got distracted by the price of the jogger set, but after that I know the price for one wont really feel worth it, but I'm still considering it (while checking if google has better offers, ea doesnt need my money) the freezer bunny plush was cute! Oo they should do a crocs collab!! 3 different colour/styled crocs then a pins set!! Id buy that, I'm reluctant to buy real crocs despite being interested but I would if there were sims related pins!! Ooor a converse collab!!
