@@rohanbelani5981drakloak isn't a draw engine. This is very important to understand. It needs something else to get it going in most cases where it isn't stalling with iron thorns

@@sorenosenpai3873i believe thorns also shuts off vstar abilities. So unless you have cancelling cologne, or gusted thorns to the bench, then you won't be able to use star portal as well

While i do think it feels like an iron Thorns deck more than a dragapult deck in feel, it is much more versatile and some matchups you don't even use the iron Thorns if it doesn't work well albeit those can usually be bad matchups. Usually when people say "this is just that but with extra steps," they usually mean both decks accomplish the exact same thing but one is less consistent or less powerful. They both add a strong element to each other and can actually solve some bad matchups for both decks.

It depends on the matchup. In some matchups it plays as a mostly Iron Thorns deck. In some matchups it plays as a mostly Dragapult deck. In most matchups it's Iron Thorns early, Dragapult late. And you have to know when to transition.
