THIS is the NEW Ford GT!

This is the new Ford GT and everything you want to know about it! With one on order myself this is my first opportunity to experience what it is like; from an in-depth walkaround of the 2017 Ford GT to going for my first ever drive in it. Let's thoroughly explore the new supercar and all of its features, inside and out.
When the invitation arrived to drive and experience the new Ford GT, I didn't say no! Better still, to drive the car we're up in the Cairngorms in Scotland, surrounded by beautiful scenery and amazing roads on which to experience it.
Powered by Ford's 3.5 EcoBoost twin turbocharged V6 with 647bhp and 746Nm, it will reach a top speed of 216mph (348km/h), and do so in spectacular fashion. Initially developed as a race car to take to Le Mans in 2016, it did so and took victory on the 50th anniversary of the legendary GT40 victory in 1966. As part of that process, a homologated road car was developed and that is this very car that will be produced in limited numbers, one of which I will be the proud owner of in future.
With a design that's instantly reminiscent of the 2004 Ford GT, but with new use of carbon fibre, active aerodynamics and other new technologies, you result with optimum performance and a serious supercar. This is the closest thing that has been built to a racecar for the road to date.
Observant viewers may notice inconsistencies with the audio due to sections that required rework following issues with the original audio file, my apologies and thank you for your understanding with this.

I have a question. Ford Gt is all about lightweight, no soud isolation, all carbon fiber, V6 etc. But, for example McLaren 720s have V8, luxury materials like leather,good soud isolation, very good sound system etc. and still it's lighter. About 200lb. I don't get it, why? Btw. Not a huge fan of Ford Gt, but I really like your videos, and I'm really happy for you,for your new car. Greetings from Czech republic :)

I don't think it should be compared to the Carrera GT because I don't think it is that same level of rawness. Sure it is really fast but the Carrera GT is a naturally aspirated V10 with no stability control or any electronic aids and a manual transmission. I love the Ford GT and I'm not trying to bash it I just don't think it is the same even today.

I think this car is the most exciting supercar for me since the Aventador! beacuse i live cars that are all about being cool! The 720S is to perfect, 488 has the 458 speciale which is cooler! and theres the Peformante which i love but im not that bothered! This tho love the way it drops the ride height and how basic the interior is i love that is the its all about its racing pedigree! those paddles are awesome! So mister Shmee i am very jealous of you. People fail to realize what this car is. This is a car that was a race car turned road car, none of its competition is like that, which is why it lacks the luxurious interior. Also its an endurance racer, built to last over 24 hrs of straight racing, there are very few cars on the market that can do that without having engine problems. Also it has a top speed of 216 mph, which makes it the 3rd fastest car on the market today. Cars that beat it in top speed currently on the market are the Aventador S at 217 mph (420k), and Chiron at 260 mph (2.7 million). Top that off with a hand-made carbon fiber body, does it really seem overpriced?

In the world of racing, it is all about performance not the engine anymore... Look at Formula 1, that shows exactly why race cars and subsequently this GT has a V6. This is a race car for the road and therefore it is based on the essentials of current racing series. Let's be happy it is not fully electric. ;)

I absolutely love this car, and can 'familiarise' myself to this car easily. I'm a fan of the WEC, what this car was made for, I was a fan of the 2005 gt and found out about the gt40 (loved them both, and the heritage and history) and I've played a number of racing games with this in it. Astonishing, and I think it's in the top end of the supercars list, nearly reaching the capability of some HyperCars. Can't wait to see this in your videos. He went from Glenshee to Breamar. If you go in the opposite direction it's insanely twisty and bouncy. Love this road in my E30. The ski centre shop does nice cake :-)
