*and this is why i love watching Sir Huberman's podcasts on KZbin🙇🏾‍♀️🙏🏾💥💫. Knowledge, broken down to make sense to regular folks. I view our body like a vehicle, if we drive it around, not addressing the engine light, throwing water in the gas tank, not changing discpads when we hear the loud screech etc, our car is going to be run down pretty quickly. I see Andrew like a mechanic, giving us insight on not just the pretty shell we see/have, but the knowledge of a spark plug, fuse, engine block, piston, under the hood. We need to know more than just how to 'drive' our bodies. We need to understand the fundamentals and how to maintain it, and when to go into the dealership 🙏🏾. THANK YOU ANDREW, AND WE APPRECIATE YOUR PASSION OF DISSEMINATING YOUR KNOWLEDGE TO US*

I’m almost 40 and trt changed my life out of depression. Doctors just said I have major depression disorder and left it at that even though I had a lot of testosterone related symptoms. Eventually a doctor ran test and saw they were at the bare minimum for normal range. We found my body likes 20mg cyp with diabetes syringes every three days and I don’t get high estrogen. My dose is lower than most people per month but if I go higher it converts to estrogen so this level is perfect. Been a few years and my mood is so much better along with my energy, sex drive and all.

Its interesting also how the medical views differs. Sweden are quite restrictive. So much that women who have issues due to hormones are considered ”normal” in Sweden but considered ”not normal” and get treatment in Finland. Getting treatment for endometriosis have alse been very hard in Sweden while its much easier to be diagnosed and treated in Great Britain. Same goes for certain vitamins. Like vitamin d for children. In Norway the advice supplementing children for longer than Sweden. I assume this goes for other countries also, some being more restrictive on certain things than others.

interesting point about the finasteride, which I started taking November 2020 or so... I understood about the 'blocking' aspect before I decided to go ahead with it, but I can't really say it's affected my libido that much; however, if I join the dots I can see my overall 'fitness' performance has been slowing down over the last 20 months, but I have been doing if that was an age thing (I'm about to turn 42 in a couple of months)!? Question: Does taking DHEA reduce or suppress the body's natural ability to produce this hormone?

Honestly, I prefer to do my own research. Too many people listen to others instead of learning themselves. I'm 57 years old, and been studying nutrition, training, and pharmaceutical side for over 35 yrs. I am a former bodybuilder and powerlifter. I rarely listen to others. Sometimes I'll pick someone's brain if I know they have a lot of knowledge in those fields. It's nice to share notes.

Question: when guys have estrogen that is too low, is that problem almost always caused by drugs, or can it sometimes be caused by certain herbs/supplements, or even diet?

Derek and Andrew Huberman changed my life! After cycles of gear on and off for years, my body started breaking down in my 40s. I was on the path to TRT. Then I found MPMD and Dr. Huberman. I researched hormones for about a year and changed my lifestyle soon after. I have the blood work to prove it. I doubled my testosterone in 8 months naturally. Not sure of the long term effects of the supplements I now cycle but so far so good. Thanks!

@@mattmason4589 I tested 4x over the eight months. My free testosterone was always acceptable according to my doctor. When things are "fine" he usually doesn't give me the number. I think that channels such as MPMD have changed the discourse around the significance of testosterone and estrogen, how they function in our bodies, and the legitimate outcomes (good or bad) of augmenting their levels. I believe this speaks to the relevance of free speech towards exploration of new areas of knowledge and the importance of scientific rigour, as opposed to damning, or exalting certain practices based on emotional or subjective experiences. I don’t take steroids, but I have found Deryk’s videos to be informative and balanced. As an addictions counsellor, I like to take the same stance with all drugs. How do drugs benefit us? How do they harm us? What is it that has made my client decide that the drug has caused them more harm than good? How can I go deeper into informing my client of the pros and cons of said drug? How do they move forward, in the way that works best for them, whether that is abstinence, harm reduction, maintenance, etc… I find it best to be honest with my clients and not judge them for their choices. All I do is inform, from the science that I know, act as a mirror, and help direct a client where they want to go. I remember seeing the old drug commercials and thinking “these guys are so full of shit” and they were. This led me to underestimate the ill effects of illicit drugs because I did not believe the propaganda. Luckily I studied actual science on drugs that got me out of many of my addictions. Yes, I still struggle with addictions. Sugar, social media, and work addiction are things that I still struggle with.

One thing my doctor said about TRT every other day or every 3 days. The drawback is that it is too much injecting… she said every 5 days is the sweet spot
@DapperCracker512

I was on about 150mg a week of Test C on TRT therapy and just recently I am starting to come off. I had actual low T and my levels are around 750 ng/dl now. It helped me lose weight and work harder but I don't like the way it makes me feel. I've been feeling more lethargic, exhausted, and less motivated. Just lowering my dosage even marginally I feel much better. I'll admit I don't like how everyone acts like TRT is the one cure all. Dr Huberman was lightly touching on this but he is right not everyone on TRT should be taking it or encouraged to stay on it. TRT is a real popular cliche for men to do right now but we shouldn't overlook how eating better, sleeping better, and working out better can fix these problems without direct endocrine intervention or pharmaceutical intervention. 💯💪

In my experience at 57 years old. Micro dosing is the way to go. I strongly do not recommend Novaldex. I had extreme calf pain and felt like shit. You need estrogen. What you don't need is a massive spike of it and that's what happens when you take a 1.5 ml shot of Cypionate every week. Hence why you micro dose. Your estrogen doesn't spike.

My understanding has always been 200 mg of cyp or e every week was a reasonable does and it’s about a 12-13 day ester so how does it create a trough in testosterone. Is he suggesting that using a test prop or phenyl prop at 30 mg ever other day is safer or better. Honest question. Also my endocrinologist wanted to put me on clomid instead of test because I’m diabetic and have peripheral artery disease. Anyone used clomid as a test booster and what can I expect to gain in numbers
