My dad always told me horror stories about his aging aunt. She acted like this lady, she would clean out and reuse ziploc bags, paper towels, and even foil. And she did the whole "put food back in jars" thing too. Problem with her was that she grew up in a very poor household and later we found out she had extreme mental and health issues.
