I went for a work medical and my blood pressure was 235/130. They put me on Ekg machine, found nothing abnormal, got blood tests which proved normal with a little higher cholesterol. My doctor asked me if I drank a lot of coffee, I said yes. He asked me to stop coffee and sugar for a fortnight and then come back before he advises further. Two weeks later it went from 235/130 to 170/117. Having no coffee. This current fortnight it's down to 140/93. Happy it's still dropping slowly. Good luck❤️. One love from Fiji.

I just got a Reading of 180/120, with dizziness and slight numbness in limbs. Suspected mild stroke. EKG Normal, blood work normal, cholesterol slightly high and no chest pain. They put me on aspirin and enarlapril. Went the following day and my bp was 119/84. 3 days later am still feeling slight dizziness. But am changing my diet and cutting down smoking too. Love from PNG.

@timeout9768 I TOTALLY agree with you! What helps me is that she gives you the REASON and the source of high blood pressure! She shares the education of of WHY the blood pressure can be high. Then she gives you the ways to lower it. I agree, all the exercise in the world will not sufficiently lower your blood pressure alone. Yet, exercise is good for you. You just don’t have to run 10 miles to do it!

Best thing to lower BP is exercise. I measure mine before say it's 140/80 then I measure again after 30 mins moderate intensity on the treadmill and it will drop significantly to say 101/60. This happens EVERY time for the last year or so. All readings are 3 reading averages IE I measure 3 times, add the results then divide by 3.

Unless there is something that I have missed or failed to understand, I couldn't figure out very clearly the relationship between High BP & Insulin in the blood/body or insulin resistance for that matter. Or it is not well explained as other issues in the video. To be very specific you mentioned how BP is caused (Stiffness & thickness of vessels walls making them elastic, & calcium), but you didn't tell us how these are caused by that insulin insensitivity. Not only that, you have not said anything about the plaque that forms in our vessels & how that can also be related to the insulin insensitivity. Na is also the other chemical element that is advised to be avoided, but you are not that much against it; and yet you advised us to avoid potassium rich foods like banana & potatoes (sweet or otherwise). Please if you can, address these issues. Everything else is wonderful.

This is the first time I’ve seen on a health-related KZbin clip where someone recommends palm oil as a desired cooking oil. For a long time, palm oil has been demonized for its high saturated fat content. But recent research has thrown doubt on this verdict, and suggests that saturated fat is not necessarily detrimental to health. On the other hand, olive oil is thought by many to be heart-healthy because of its content of oleic acid, a monounsaturated fat. Palm oil contains about 40% oleic acid as well. It has a high smoke point and does not oxidize easily. When it comes to the environment, many people fault palm oil because forests are cleared for its planting. But let’s get real. Crops don’t grow in the desert or in the ocean. All crops grow in places where the native plants are already growing. The oil palm shows exceptional efficiency in oil production. If, say, we get rid of all oil palms and grow soy beans in its place for oil, about 8 to 10 times as much land has to be cleared to produce the same amount of oil. How can that be good for the environment? On the socio-economic front, because palm oil is relatively cheap, even the poor can afford it.

@mangog8277 Hypothyroid can cause higher b.p. levels. Dr David Brownstein specializes in thyroid issues. I was hypothyroid and taking Armour Thyroid. He mentioned that taking 2 T of coconut oil, increasing Vit D (I think I increased to 10,000 units a day) plus going gluten free would help thyroid operate as it should. After 10 years of thyroid meds I was able to get off them. My thyroid now is normal. It took abt 6 months of doing those 3 things.. Going gluten free was difficult but not impossible. I wish I had know this before going on meds. Best wishes to you!

@mangogo8777 My last posting was removed. Hmmm. To correct your thyroid issue (per Dr David Brownstein thyroid specialist) 2T coconut oil, raise vitamin D levels (I took 10,000 daily) and eliminate gluten. I came off hypothyroid meds doing this daily. Took abt 6 months and i was off meds. Hypothyroid can raise b.p.

@mangog8777. 3rd try.Posts keep getting removed. Sounds like you are hyperthyroidism. Research Dr David Brownstein. He's a thyroid expert. He suggests 2 T coconut oil, large amts Vit D and going gluten free. Worked for me. I came off 10 years of needing thyroid meds doing those 3 things. Took abt 6 months. Best wishes in your heath journey.

Dr. Dazer, love your content! This is great information. Sincere thanks for it. I wish you had been more clear when you said reference Vitamin K2, "But if you're on blood thinners like Warfarin you need to be careful and talk to your doctor." But you never explained what you meant by "blood thinners like Warfarin" i.e. the why. Does Vit. K2 reduce the blood thinning impact? Not all blood thinners are the same? Or are they all like Warfarin? Does that include baby aspirin? Eliquis? Plavix? Effient?
