The playstyle is strong because you have constant map pressure. Whenever you're in fog the enemies must be afraid that you're coming for them, and they have to adapt accordingly.
@zelliko2 жыл бұрын
The best part of the style is the constant pressure while the opponent is unable to roam.
@beakidhero2 жыл бұрын
high tempo. placing pressure on the map of a potential roam whether he actually takes the roam or not. potential kills to assist other laners. taking control of the lane, keeping his laner in lane or making them choice missing the cs or follow.

You dont need Dmats on ekko if you skip currupting potion since you will always get 120 ap by lv7 to 1 tap wave. Also, if you want to do ekko combos, you have to be on instant cast or your animation cancels will be harder to do. Also general tip for ekko, just try your best to have as little deaths as possible, you need cs and xp to achieve the mid game power spike to carry games

I think this is the most influential video I've wathced. I've always seen him implement this style with multiple champions but somehow this is the first time it clicked.
@silosolis63972 жыл бұрын
This playstyle is strong because of the safety in ekko roams, his ulti, plus e, aswell as passive to gain more ground/movement speed/ champion pressure. The amount of zoning you can pull off with his whole moveset, allows you to roam so well.
@Dmorgzzz2 жыл бұрын
This playstyle limits the enemy teams options while also giving your team more options (especially your jungler). The enemy mid will have to choose between farm or matching you. The enemy jungler will be forced to deviate from his pathing and gameplan also sacrificing farm, experience, and tempo. As a plat-diamond jungler when i have a mid that plays like this the game is so much easier and i have way more options. I don't have to worry about my mid getting solo killed, i can catch his waves and gain an xp and gold advantage over the enemy jungler, i can take an objective or counterjungle on the opposite side of the map while enemy jungler is forced to counter, or i can just help with the plays and never be at a numbers disadvantage.
@TheMrAbsolute2 жыл бұрын
Constantly pushing an almost full wave into the enemy and rotating leaves the enemy mid with two bad choices: give the enemy team a +1 advantage in every fight or lose xp and fall behind like that.
@erickgoncalves81512 жыл бұрын
This is a nightmare for the enemy jungler... not only creating pressure in mid and fear on other lanes... If you can't manage to gank and get kills, the passe from Ekko can clear campaments in no time, including objectives without any response, most of the time. Played some of this, and besides the mana issue with spamming Q pretty often, everything else is really good

I like to call it "Spending" our Hp. Spend Hp to walk past trundle. Spend some Hp, we cant have our cake and eat it too, Its lose some Hp to trundle, or get cornered and guarantee that we die Put Ekko W, where ever you want to stand. Even if your not currently standing there, you cant, your not gonna, where do you WANT to stand? If you just randomly decided, lets take a fight. Put it THERE And to answer his question about R vs Stopwatch, well we just compare them and what they do. Whats the difference? The biggest difference is our ult gives us movement, damage, and healing. If your going to panic press one, probably your ult. It just DOES more to help us in a scary situation than watch. And then also, We cant go stopwatch and then ult out. Really. Stopwatch to be honest, is more of an offensive tool than people realize. Because when stopwatch ends, your probably either going to win that fight or die there. And yes your ult can be offensive too and its kind of better because it does damage, but the movement and the health you get back can be defensive. Stopwatch is less Flexible. So default to using ult I think, and only stopwatch when its calculated and you know WHY your pressing it. Thers gonna be exceptions such as, the position ult gives us is even worse, but thats going to come with experience, practice trial and error. I think press ult when your scared is a decent way to learn. As for stopwatch, Need cooldowns back? Press stopwatch. Dying, but we would rather ult offensively? press stopwatch. Its for when you can win a fight, and you just need to drag it out a few seconds. Maybe theres a play where you can press W and then instantly stopwatch? Maybe you come out of watch in time to proc W or something. Because we cant LEAVE our current position during stopwatch, I consider it mostly an offensive, hold on Il fight you in a sec, button. When you can win by stalling Our ult also LOSES its defensive potential, if we wait to use it. The shadow catches up to us and its now in an aggressive position. So if you took too much damage too fast and you want OUT of the fight, dont hold it. But I kinda think E in, Q, W+stopwatch, then pretend your scared and run away then ult back in. That combo sounds pretty fucking cracked if you can map that plan it out, plan fights out before you start it

If I had to guess what makes this strong I'd say map presence. His e is such a get out of jail free as well as a good travel tool. On top of that his wave clear is pretty damn good so he can just always be roaming or getting plates and have good farm all the while.

high tempo, high agency.... and the other lanes can get tilted when they get roamed on, and your lane gets tilted when roams work. :)
@frazzlefresh2 жыл бұрын
In theory, constant wave clear, unlocks the ability to roam and apply map pressure (top/bot/objectives) and generally keeps the enemy lanes from wanting to extend and push into towers (fear of gank from mid/jung) Which in turn creates more prio across more lanes, coupled with your constant prio mid frees up objectives for you and your jungler.
@arigathankyouyt2 жыл бұрын
Ekko's ability to easily clear waves and immediately roam, especially against immobile champs, makes pressuring other lanes a breeze for you and a nightmare to your enemies. On top of that, Ekko can snowball easily this way, leading to secure more objectives while having a massive resource lead against your lane opponent.

@MixalisEam2 жыл бұрын
The reason why this play style is so strong is because by shoving you unlock the roam so you can affect other lanes and make your enemy decide whether they lose a wave or 2 by matching the roam (effectively losing xp and gold) or staying mid while you exert your pressure in other lanes.

This Ekko playstyle is strong because it's Proactive rather than Reactive. You're never answering questions, you're always asking them. You push your wave, roam, push wave, roam, and never really need to make 5head decisions while you're doing that, and you're making your opponents make the mistakes you can capitalize on.

The playstyle is strong because ekko as a champion has very strong wave clear with his Q. He's probably one of the best snowball champions to get fed cause of E and Q. Then ekko's passive + W is very strong in skirmishes outside of lane (Passive can either use it to kite aggressively or defensively ekko has a lot of flexibility In how he can play fights), W is great for gank set ups, zoning and quick in and out picks out of vision (E, Q, rocketbelt, auto).
@justinsawrie14232 жыл бұрын
The playstyle is good because every time you shove the wave in the enemy has two choices, let you roam or catch the wave. either way you open the map up by roaming. you are also playing a mental game with them, always second guessing where you are. I'm a thresh otp.. when the wave is pushing and my adc can safe farm theres no reason not to roam, especially on a champ like thresh your basically a secondary jg.

@resiluck2 жыл бұрын
This playstyle strong cause 1. You don't loose minions and help your teammate at the same time. 2. Ekko is a scaling champion and stupid as f broken after 3 items so getting kills always better. 3. You have insane mobility and fucking ULT out if anything goes wrong. And, ULT is stupidly less in cooldown. (Can use it as TP to get back in lane). 4. As a midlaner you are supposed to control the map and this playstyle allows that in as efficient way as possible.

You see this game play pattern all the time in high silver and gold. Players are so scared to int or die they don't do anything at all for the entire game. Whats funny is in plat everyone thinks they are Faker and tries to outplay instead of taking fights slow.

U get xp and gold from waves on mid, no matter the matchup, if u play lets say yasuo u can get lissandra and have 0 kill pressure, so ekko playstyle is really consistent. U can have hardest matchup but it doesnt matter, u just one shot the wave and leave to kill his team. If u get to midgame with 2 items ur split push is nuts u shove them in, they HAVE to respond and then u kill their teammates again.
@X33Ultras0und2 жыл бұрын
A lot of people in low elo aren't playing league of legends, but instead league of laning. They just sit in lane and hope their allies win their lane. Even if they have a good wave clear champion like Garen, they don't proxy, even if they're playing a champion that has good jungle camp clearing like Morgana, they don't even look for an invade on gromp or something when they see the enemy jungler at opposite side of the map.
