This was my father's favorite cake. My mother had a recipe from the 1960s, and I'd love to know just how many she made over her cooking life. She used a regular tube pan. Cream cheese poundcake makes the BEST strawberry shortcake. Loved watching this. ❤

I will have to try this. Today I made your Ultimate Potato soup on a cold winter day in Minnesota. Used our own potatoes. I had some ham I needed to use up so I used that instead of the bacon, it was so good and warming. For dessert I made your Chocolate covered strawberry brownies. Yummy. Thanks for the recipes.

When done correctly, a good pound cake is pound-for-pound better than almost any other cake. 😋🍰 And congrats on your third cake in the oven! (Sam's too sweet for a generic bun in the oven, kind of like Subway bread which was recently determined to be legally a cake due to its sugar content.)

I'm dying to know if you would ever reverse-cream a large pound cake like that in a tube pan. there was far more sugar by weight than flour in my recipe, so I decided to experiment. the result was a beautifully structured cake with a perfect circle split around the top. but the texture was off compared to smaller layer/sheet reverse-cream cake recipes. any comment?

You may have too much batter to bake in a 10 cup pan. I would make sure to not overfill the pan. :)
