Would you recommend a Outback XT manual as a good first car? I’ve been thinking of getting one, but the reliability makes me not wanna get one. But you have experience, so I assume you know something about Subaru reliability.

@@EK-np4nx I had Forester XTs which were both very reliable. I kept one of them up to 330000kms. Australia never had the Outback XT unfortunately 😔

@@EK-np4nx man can’t go wrong with ether one. Forester vs Outback. Both good reliable vehicles.

@@EK-np4nx I must say that Subarus are pretty reliable and very easy to work on for most repairs, and the XT models are also less likely to have head gasket issues as well. Only thing left to note is that they do tend to burn oil, so check the oil level regularly and your vehicle will reward you!

I have a 2005 Outback XT manual with 1.25” (31.75 mm) lift and larger off-road tires. I need to go through and chase a vacuum leak as it’s down on power according to my friend w/ a 500 hp (372.85 kW) Legacy GT. My friend who I bought it from has an EJ20 block with a larger turbo in case I blow my EJ25. I doubt I’ll get to that power point. ETA: I live in Hawai’i

@@JohnD0129 mine sadly was timed wrongly and the valves kissed the pistons swaped a stock ej20 In it made only 270 but it was never the same sold it 2 months later then got a diesel iconimical crisis hit sold that and now finally again I got an sg5 and will be slowly building it up

If you have a decent credit rating and a job you can get one, big deal. A company in Sydney imports them and you can get one of these for around 30k. - Cars from japan the company is called. He didn't keep it clean for the past 20 years. The Japanese did, then it was imported over.

Depending on what you're aftering. I will go for FSTI. Reason is more space and comfort to compare with Evo9 Wagon. If i not wrong, Evo9 Wagon fuel tank capacity is smaller then FSTI hence on long road trip, one might need to visit petrol kiosk more often. I had both :P
