Lojo, just subscribed to your channel, love le videos. The reason you wear the mask, is because when you are talking, breathing, the particles go in the air, & make contact with objects (bags of bait) you touch them after they have been contaminated, then let’s say you touch your face after that or rub your eyes. You can become infected. That’s why you are required to wear a mask in public buildings (stores, ect.....). Keep making your awesome videos, stay safe!
@NytronX4 жыл бұрын
0:58 - COVID-19 can survive and spread via airborne transmission. Just like that scene in the film Outbreak. That's why many places are upgrading HVAC units with better filters. So yeah, just wear the mask, period. And get an N95/KN95 mask.

@717yakbassin84 жыл бұрын
Nytron not starting a flame war, but even the cdc says asymptomatic people BERY RARELY transmit the virus, even with personal intimate contact. And the survival rate for healthy adults under 60 is about 99.99%. So avoid symptomatic people, and you should be fine. No need for a mask unless you are symptomatic, or are regularly around seniors or people with comorbidities.
@NytronX4 жыл бұрын
@@717yakbassin8 "Very rarely" coupled with the exponential nature of how a virus spreads is still a problem. If we did universal masks early on we'd be back to normal by now like most other developed nations. Asymptomatic is different than people who recently got the virus but will eventually show symptoms. So one should still assume they could be a vector. It can take many days between contracting the virus before you show symptoms, sometimes over a week even. This is different than people who contract the virus and never show symptoms.
@michaelchen12174 жыл бұрын
@@717yakbassin8 There is also not enough information about the ratio of cases to deaths yet. Currently, the US has a death rate of about 3%. This number is not correct as people can get the disease but don't get tested. That suggests that there are fewer deaths than the mathematical percentage. It is not enough to bring the death rate to 00.01%, even for healthy adults under 60. Also, not everyone is a healthy adult under 60. That's not really great, as some people don't even know they have some minor problem that could increase their chances of death (high blood pressure, blood sugar, etc.)
@717yakbassin84 жыл бұрын
Michael Chen the deaths versus known cases is about 3 % and dropping rapidly. The vast majority of those cases are elderly and/or unhealthy. The chances of ANYONE dying from Covid is .0005% of the total population, and goes down exponentially if you are healthy and under 60. Just the facts from the CDC.

I know this is a little late but just finally had the chance to stop by today. I watch all of your videos trying to figure out where you are fishing. Not trying to steal spots just hoping for a little better luck than normal. Bought my AMS bowfishing bow around 2 years ago. Waters have been extremely murky since then and haven't had the best luck (it's sat on a shelf in the garage) went out today and happened to see quite a few gar there. We snagged one and had a nice little nugget fry. Never would have imagined in a million years to fish there. Guess I wanted to say thanks for thinking outside the box. Driven over this place a million times and never even noticed it was an actual bridge! If you shoot any pool I'm right down the road lol

When fishing a creek like that, I use a 5' to 5'6 rod for easy casting. Also the line twist was most likely due to using a spinner without a swivel on your line. When using a spinning reel, I will place a swivel about 18 to24 inches above the lure to ensure that I have significant amount of line for lure changes.

Try topwater baits specifically frogs or ploppers. Gar will take them under and wait once you see them start swimming away with the bait then set the hook. Not saying I’m a pro but that strategy has landed me a few spotted gar. Once you see them interested and looking at it just makes small subtle movements and they’ll explode on it. Hope this helps🤙

I am NOT an expert. However, after reading some studies, little droplets from your breathing/talking/sneezing/coughing can linger in the air for a pretty decent amount of time. The distancing is to help avoid spreading by physical contact, the masks are to help reduce spread by aerial contamination. If the droplets can hang out in the air for, say, fifteen minutes then there doesn’t have to physically be someone else where you are for your droplets to infect them when they come in fifteen minutes behind you.

Masks aren't 100% effective at stopping the spread of particles and social distancing isn't necessarily 100% effective within a certain distance. But when you combine the two the overlap leaves a very small margin for error and helps keep you and others safe. Wearing a mask is a pain but a fair trade for the health and safety of yourself and loved ones. Keep wearing the mask and setting a good example, I'm sure I speak for a big chunk of your audience when I say we appreciate it!
