I used to scare myself to stop and study😭. I would remind myself what would happen if I didn’t study and that would usually be enough to start. Otherwise ask someone to remind you or keep an eye on u so u acc do ur work. I like to do the pomodoro study technique which basically means. Study sessions(20-40min) and break, then repeat. After let’s say 2 pomodoros/study session, u take an extra long break. This helps w not exhausting urself. I hope this helps anyone😊

Out of all the videos out there, I personally have found this one the most helpful! Like you said, the mindset it's one the most neglected topics on these types of communities, but it's actually a crucial point on improving yourself. The analogy between giving money to people on the street it's a complete new way of viewing things, and actually pretty scary. The phrase at the end was something impressive, and just, full of truth, I imagine that influencers already know this, I mean, that they see it that way, giving money or views to others, giving your time to them? But for us, the viewers, it's something that i don't think ever crosses our minds in such a way. This was a great video!! Thanks, Amy. 😊

(Ok, long comment ik, but hear me out) I love this, I used to struggle with scrolling a couple months ago and recently I've kicked the habit by 1) setting boundaries with myself (what this video is talking about) and 2) deleting every social media app on my phone. yes. I deleted every single app. so if I needed to watch something I would go to the site myself, type in the search bar, and watch the video. Remember guys, the first step is GENUINELY WANTING to get rid of the habit. If you're passive about the decision, the decision will pass you by and you will be stuck in the perpetual cycle. Thank you Amy for your videos we all appreciate your work so much ❤️

Yes, I can use it as a tool to just pass by the time for short waiting periods but then its very easy to lose control and somehow age by 10 years. I really like the message you're making here; stop scrolling is an action itself and taking real value with your time by a taking that stance.

My 5 year old self was way less ambitious than my current self. It was only last year I had a conversation with a good friend, we were discussing our future careers, what we wanted to do in life after school, I didn’t have high ambitions, figured I’d work for a decent job that pays the bills and go from there, she had aspirations of being a doctor. Thing is I owe her so much because after I gave my plans she kind of just said I was silly to have such low ambitions, gave me confidence and so when my dad told me I could become a doctor I had the confidence in me, now I’m turning my life around with the aspirations of becoming a doctor. This video may not have been the most useful to me of the videos of your’s I’ve watched as I’m not much of a scroller but I do still fall into that trap, thank you.

I’m 14 and for years of my life I was addicted to scrolling. I would watch videos for hours of my day with no end in sight. I was unorganized, procrastinated, and struggled a lot. This year, I stopped watching short-form videos and began exclusively watching longer ones (video essays, commentary, stuff like this) and it really improved me! I have a much better attention span and I have learned a lot. I also began seeing friends more and working on my interests. I mainly use my iPad for social media because I don’t carry it around everywhere. I rarely use my phone. All these improvements have made my life so much better! I hope to keep improving it, and with your videos, I think I will! Also, to anyone reading this, you should try doing these things! Just try for a week and see how it makes you feel :)
