This is just making me more aware that true love is a rarity for this generation because everything is about social media and how others perceive you and your relationships online 😭

Hi, I really loved your video. Thank you so much for this, I kinda needed this myself, I was slowly starting to fall under these traps without realising it myself even. Thankyou for this video, it really helped to clear my perspective on a few things. I love your shorts, btw! Please keep making more ✨

I'm not even dating (not that I have a desire to, I'm aromantic) and yet I do really long to grow & nurture healthy long-term interpersonal relationships whether it be romantic relationships or even platonic close friendships, I don't have time to let drama related to gossip or overconsumerism or mind-games or social media or texting or dating apps etc ruin the peace I've already created for myself as a happily single person.

Thank you for the video, Brad!! I agree with all you said especially when you pointed out that everyone has different ways of showing love and we should always communicate. :))

I'm really enjoying these more in-depth videos. Agree with everything. As I've summed it up . . . A happy and healthy relationship is built on trust and respect. Were both parties feel safe, secure, and supported. One of my favorite lines from a song by Beth Crowley is, "They say this should feel like work, but I love what we're doing." Love is a choice that we show and express with our words and actions. As I've heard many couples say, "I didn't just fall in love. It was multiple little things, over time, that added up to love."

The conclusion of the first myth was so dead on. My Wife and I haven’t been to the gym together for a long while until recently. I follow plenty of fitness influencers, but I had to Unfollow a lot of them because they were putting out more Gym couple content and it’s fine. It’s their right, but it made me feel like crap for not being in the gym with My Wife and it’s not her fault. The power that social media has to make people feel like garbage for not living a luxurious lifestyle like the poster does is so powerful. It’s scary bro.

Right off the bat... I felt what this guy was stepping in lol Real talk based on the face mask and beauty products. Most beauty products are a scam. The best looking people have had work done, and actors and models wear makeup. Don't trust ads. Rinse your face off with water before bed or shower. 12:30 I think in the very beginning. People are passive, because they may like the person, but they're not wanting to start attaching strings. Keeping a distance to protect both people's feelings. Also, infatuation has a short lifespan, and it's not the necessary ingredient to make a relationship last.

I don't exactly know your beliefs, etc. but I found it fascinating that the true love you describe here in your video is actually very close to the love that is taught to us in Christian doctrine. Verses about love is written all over the Bible and it never sugarcoats it. In fact it frames it as the greatest commandment, the highest form of virtue, but also the hardest to do as we have Christ as our metric of perfect, true, and profound love. Below are some examples (not exhaustive) that I think suits the message of your video: John 13:34-35 - A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 - If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8a - Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13:13 - And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. Ephesians 4:2 - Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 1 Peter 4:8 - Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. John 15:12-13 - My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. Colossians 3:14 - And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. 1 Corinthians 16:14 - Let all that you do be done in love. 1 John 4:16-19 - And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. Great vid, btw. Keep up the great work!

Me and my bsf are like your BIGGEST FANS EVERRR!! like somehow, some way u always manage to get into our convos. We even wrote your name on our bench with a heart 😭😭 we love you smm! We always talk about how u don't even know we exist but we still continue to fangirl over u 🎀💗 we imitate ur yt shorts, we even draw hearts on a piece of paper like the one u use for ur yt shorts. We wanna buy "academy of blood". We're planning on it. We both were listing down our celeb crushes today but in the end we obviously had to add "...BUT BRAD MARTIN ON TOP DUDEE!!". Everyday we talk about ur videos, like there is no day ever we haven't talked about u. We're like "heyy did u watch the new brad martin video!?" And then she'd be like "yeahh the sketching one right!!?". So yeah, all i wanted to say.. WE LUV U!! and keep making videos ❤❤❤

Awesome video as always. True love is active, it takes work, but that’s what makes it beautiful. Being able to actively put in effort despite the differences you may have. And this doesn’t just apply to romantic partners either, this is how we should love /everyone./ Love actively ❤
