Hi Jessica! I'm from Miami Florida and I recently had about 3 bags of apples that I didn't want to go bad. I remembered your apple sauce video, I carefully followed your instructions!😊 At 38 years old I made apple sauce and apple scrap vinegar for the first time! The sauce turned out great and I'm waiting to pour out the solids in the vinegar. Without your video those apples would have ended up in the trash. Thank you for your education and encouragement.

The Gerber baby and the artist that did the sketching are my maternal ancestors. When my first grandson was born, my daughter had so many people tell her he looks just like the Gerber baby. Everyone in our family that had babies back then received a silver baby spoon with the childs name on it. I still have my Gerber personalized baby spoon❣️

What a doll! Hannah is growing so much, those chubby cheeks. Seeing her in the carrier reminded me of Benji being in there not that long ago. Love Mr.Stripey tomato on a sandwich. The baked beans looked delish and so did David's donuts. Enjoyed it!

Jessica, I've had great luck using 1 teaspoon of plain old Epson salt, sprinkled around the tomato plant soil. Magnesium does wonders for the biggest, best tasting & looking tomatoes. This is wisdom from a past small town mayor, who always had the biggest tomatoes in town. Bless your beautiful family.

Thank you, Jessica. I absolutely love how you walk us through the things you are doing. Even if it feels like you might tell us time and time again how to do something, the way you describe and educate is so appreciated. Loved the little monkeys at the end!! That was so cute! One more thing, I am so proud of David for learning all he learns in relation to baking with alternative flours, that is a market that still does not have enough attention given to it, I look forward to when he makes the world his stage as an adult and shows us how to do all the magical things with all of these non-traditional baking items. :) Doing a great job, Momma! So glad I got to spend time with you today!

I'm sure you already know this, but rodents, including mice, will easily chew through mylar bags ruining all your grain. Even if the bags are put in totes, you have to be careful. Mice are small enough to find a way into those totes. We store our grain in the 5 gallon food grade buckets that come with lids. Of course, adding a couple of oxygen absorbers to those. I'm sure you already knew this, but I'm new here and don't want you losing all that grain. Oh, and also, one of my daughters also loved to bake. She was always in the kitchen helping me out. When she grew up, she went to a culinary arts school. After that, she got a job at a large resort in Arizona. She helped manage the bakery there, even decorating wedding cakes. Unfortunately, she was laid off after covid hit and everything shut down. She's now the manager of a bakery near us. I hope your son turns his passion into his career one day!!

LOVE that you guys are moving to fresh ground wheat! We decided to stop buying pre-milled flour about a year ago and it has been challenging, but so rewarding! Our 15 year old daughter has taken charge of this, which I am SO thankful for. Love seeing your son, David, take ownership of this as well - it is such a valuable experience for our kiddos. Sourdough bread is the most difficult for us, so far, but we have recently had some success. We look forward to seeing more 100% fresh ground wheat recipes from you! ❤

I love when babies reach 3 months and become humans. :) Miss Hannah is just so sweet to watch. I recently retired and have been watching videos like yours that inspire me to garden again, as we did when my daughter was young, and make homemade sauces, which is new. I love watching the older children teach the younger ones. I believe it is Elizabeth explaining the newborn chicks to her younger brothers.

Good morning 🙏😊. Thank you for sharing your week with us. And what a wonderful teaching on the life of chickens. Your children are so blessed. As for the mud… I had a similar winter/spring when my boys were young. One time they came excitedly into the house for me to come and see what they had made. Lol it was “mudmen”.! They couldn’t make snowmen so they used mud! What a mess but they had fun and now I have a fun memory of that messy time. Have a blessed week🙏🙏

I like when you share your downs along with your ups.My babies were never great sleepers, but were always achieving their developmental goals ahead of schedule.I never thought about them having to "settle their brains"I know when they start getting active they need lots of fuel, and i always heard breast milk digest very quickly,so they will need to nurse more often. We lived in a small house, and hubby worked second shift. If they heard him come home, they always wanted to get up and hang out with him.I am like you, kids should have chores, but they also should have a childhood. They will be adults soon enough, with all those responsibilities.Do not feel guilty to take a nap, though. You are doing great ,important, world changing work at your home!

I’ve been watching you for years & LOVE your channel & your content! I’m asking my 1st question ever on your channel :) Maybe on one of your videos could you explain your understanding of any disease or bacteria/virus/fungus transmission that could occur in the care & handling of poultry in every stage of its life & what your family does to prevent that transmission. We don’t have poultry but we attract a lot of birds to our birdfeeders and being a hospital nurse (who cared for a few patients a long time ago for aviary acquired illness) I have a consistent worry about what I call “bird germs.” I’m mainly afraid of the unknown. I make my family members wash their hands immediately after touching any bird feeder even inadvertently. And my son really wants chickens some day. Thank you in advance! God Bless, Andrea

It’s really nice having someone else do the things you do too. You keep giving me reminders of things I forget, like checking the humidity in my incubator, as we are on our last 3 days too before hatching, and to remember to use up what I have in my pantry and freezers. Like you I have good helpers. My son love cooking, so he cooks dinner for us 2-3 times a week. He is also the one who helps with food preservation, while his twin sister loves baking. We are raising good workers. Young people who isn’t afraid of doing hard work, and that’s great. It’s also interesting that the pantry challenge actually in general has had us go to the store less. Yesterday I realized that we had only gone grocery shopping once since the challenge ended. This year, the challenge really forced us to use what we have, it’s a change in mindset, plus we figured out, that we don’t really need all of those convenience foods. Now instead of wanting to go buy something, because we ran out, they try to be creative, and usually finds an alternative that they like. So yet again thank you for being you.
