It’s much easier to put your zippers in first so you’re always working with flat pieces. Then you can easily pin your sides to fit.

Damn, I’d just wait and buy something that fit to begin with❗️ I customise the great majority of my thrift finds but more like hemming or adjusting ALL BY HAND 🤚.
