It was a clever theme which I figured out by answering "trading places" first. After that a rather routine solve.

You got this SOOO much more quickly than I did. And I even got the trading places clue fairly early on. So I picked up on the fact that the clues were being traded, but I didn't pick up on the "iconic duos" aspect until very late in the solve when I was starting to get stuck.

Kathleen Quinn 3 minutes ago It is interesting to note that the 4 duos for today’s theme, as a group, cover: Film/TV (Laurel and Hardy) Film (Bill and Ted) Cartoon (Chip and Dale) and Stage/TV (Penn and Teller)! Very entertaining puzzle!
