They can also circle the Earth without stopping. If you look out the window on a trans-Atlantic flight, you can, most of the times, see the curvature of the Earth on the horizon. The best view of the curvature used to be on the Concorde, but that plane's long gone. I can't wait to see the pictures from the new plane by Virgin Galactic-the horizon should look absolutely curved, as it actually is from a distance.

What's sad and funny at the same time is that I think most of the time the people that stated the conspiracy are just fucking around and then the 'interesting people" took it seriously. Soon after it spun of out of control. I was guilty of saying stupid things just for fun a while back and I hope that no one ever took it seriously. The curvature calculation of 8" per mile squared is clearly incorrect. The salt flats, and oceans across the world prove that very easily.
