Yeah, I live in Indiana, where a 325K house isn’t typically associated with the word “shitbox.” I get his overall point, but he should have made a disclaimer that he realizes in some parts of the U.S., you’re probably doing good to have a house worth 100K+, otherwise it comes across like he’s looking down on us “peasants.”

"Wipe Out" is the only reality show that is interesting to watch as soul after soul gets the living crap pounded out of them by falls & punishment from creations for stunt competition. The cherry on top, they got Jill Wagner as a co-host out in the field. Also off point, I envy Eddie & the home of true love & appreciation he gets from you & I imagine Lucy also. I can sense the true therapeutic pleasure you get from him as all cat lovers know & feed on in this nut run nuthouse. Love your charisma as a comedian but, you are also a world class yell'er. Most of the lottery winners are 1 million dollar scratch off ticket winners. Cash option on most of those wins is somewhere around 800k. Then Uncle Sam wants his piece. Figure 35% of the 800k and you’re down to 520k. Seems to me the houses are appropriate for those wins. The show, however, plays up the “millionaire” angle from start to finish when the truth is you never one 1 million dollars.

I'm not sure when reality TV became popular and why, maybe during one of the writers strike in 1988 or 2007, when networks had to fill air time. Maybe when they found out how much cheaper it was to produce, no famous actors to pay, no writers, much lower production costs or whatever. What I do know is that they contribute to the dumbing down of America. No storyline to follow, no plot and no intelligence to watch, just mindless garbage. Hell, just the commercials for the Bachelor make me cringe.

I used to bid on storage units, it was fun, allot of work and a gamble. So I would never pay a high price. Then that damn storage wars came out, people flocked to the auctions, paid unbelievable amounts of money. That was the day I stopped. NO! You cannot bid on a unit with a car, you will not find piles of gold!!!!

My reality is sitting here crying my eyes out because I am in so much pain and I don't know if I'll need surgery or not yet on my neck and then seeing Vic posted another video and all of a sudden I'm laughing instead of crying because he always knows how to cheer me up. I think if I do have to get surgery and will be laid up for a while, I'll just watch all his videos while I am recuperating. Much better than any of these ridiculous reality shows.

Sorry, but I need to disagree with this one. A LOT of people would find a 325k house in a nice middle-class neighborhood a dream house. That may just be a regular house for you, but for many people it's just a dream. The other thing I appreciate about that show is that most winners have won a million dollars and are wise enough not to use all of it on their house. It's reassuring to see most of the participants are being reasonnable.

I've never exceeded 25,000 a year. I could not watch shows like that because I'd build my own home. 2019 I made 23,000, in 2020 I made less than 6,000 because of covid-19 🤬🤬🤬. I owned a handyman business that got destroyed, at 45 I lost my home an I'm living with family and my truck is falling apart. I've not given up I'm now going to start another business just dealing with plumbing.

Damn Vic I didn't know that such shows existed. Yet I am not surprised of the reality show scam, ever since that Jersey shore garbage came on the TV. Every week all I heard from people was g.t.l. this or g.t.l. that. That show to me was such a disrespect to the to todays Youth. Then there was the bachelor. People had nothing more important than to watch a man choose over a bunch of women that clawed and scratched at each other to be chosen the one lucky lady.
