I've got a 2012 1.2 special edition, quirky styling for sure but I love the little git. less than 50k on the clock and various bits need fixing but... it's perfect around town, does motorway ok, and since I replaced the radio with an android head unit it feels pretty modern for connectivity

I have a 2019 gtline s 1.0t I've heard the 1.0t has been discontinued, although still a nice car without the fun of the 1.0t it really changes the dynamics of this car now nline seems even more appealing

It's a great little car. And I love the AZURA BLUE colour. Regarding the AMT automatic gearboxes I have a Stonic with a AMT and I soon got used to it and yes KIA certainly puts loads of technology in their vehicles especially the new EU speed limiters. The automatic brakes are good. The safety technology is absolutely fantastic first class. If you can get past being a snob, forget the old brand before Hyundi bailed them out. There's Magor changes to the Manufacturer and the whole brand across the ball😮😮. 🌟⭐️🌟⭐️🌟

Very impressive small car. Had a test drive in one today and thought it ideal for running around town, being comfortable, economical and easier to park than my manual Focus estate. I have developed arthritis in my left knee, so need an automatic, so although the top of the range 1.2 Picanto is expensive for a small car, I have ordered the 1.2 auto GT-S.

Tim. Thanks for your very funny and informative review. We live in Melbourne Australia and have ordered a 2024 Picanto base model not for need on money, but for the softer ride. It's a asthmatic auto. One thing I'd like, is your opinion on the lane keep assist and lane centreing assist. For context, this country's dominated by huge SUVs and Utes.

My issue with small cars now is everyone is driving around in stupid heavy useless suvs if one of them hits you whilst your driving a car like a picanto you are always going to come off worse, the weight difference plays a big part in a crash.

Sadly we don’t get any of these fun little cars in the US 🙁. My first car was a ‘57 VW and it made all of 36 hp 🤪, I lived in a mountainous area and it did not have a synchronized 1st gear…….think about that for a minute 😳. Sorry, I couldn’t see the shorts to comment on them, I was blinded by the white legs 😱!!!

They need to have an EV version to future-proof themselves. I also love city cars. I really didn't like driving my Focus around the city, I only got it to carry my parents in more comfort.

EV cars are going to have a finite market.They are not sustainable in the long run.So no EV Picanto costing 30K thank you.We are happy with the little petrol model that weighs almost nothing.

Dunno about EV but at least a little hybrid unit to optimize the fuel economy and reduce emissions in city traffic seems like a no-brainer to me. A petrol-only car is starting to feel so outdated in 2025. Even the petrol Fiat 500 (rip) was a mild hybrid (admittedly a crappy one).

I had the 2020 GT Line Auto in Aurora Black Pearl. Traded her in last week for the 2024 Picanto GT Line Auto in Adventurous Green. It's an awesome small car, if that's what you're after. The biggest difference between the two I've noticed is that it feels tighter and higher, if that makes sense. She goes up hills much easier than my 2020 model did and she's also very sassy (Zippy/faster response time). Great brakes, they feel fabulous. I love driving her and want to keep her forever. It's impossible to drive a Picanto and NOT have a smile on your face, I dont know what it is but they're great little cars in this modern sea of white SUVs that people buy but don't actually NEED 😂

I have a VW uP! TSi 90hp for when I can’t be arsed dressing like a Stormtrooper to go out on my motorbikes. Great wee car, but needs updating. But 62hp? No thanks. Pity the 100hp was axed 😢. Oh, and I work with Audi, so drive all their wares. The uP! Is better fun than all of them. And rides better. Really! 🚗

The Picanto goes the KISS route keep it simple stupid low power and weight so it will feel nippy at town speeds though the loss of the 1.0turbo is a mistake want that heated wheel. What's the revs like at 70mph though as I need something that will sit at 70 for 20 min or so. Like the warranty too.

Kia ditching the 99bhp 1.0l turbo Picanto GT-Line S is a real mistake; it was a brilliant car. The new one is slow, boring and uninspiring, NOT FOR ME

Looks great and sporty, aggressive from the front and back but unfortunately looks like an old kia picanto from the side, FRUMPY and boring. Its too expensive for a city car for £18,000 you can get a nearly new BMW ESPECIALLY AS IT ONLY COMES WITH A 62 bhp 1Litre engine and NO TURBO!!😮
