Tips on removing a 6.4 intake manifold.

Here is another video I shot on intake manifold porting on the 392, More of a cleanup really, rather than porting.
You will need;
torque wrench
8mm socket with extensions
blue Loctite
A good dose of patients...
That's it!
Also, the connectors do have a thumb tab. I forgot to mention that.

Lol...I think that thing still has my skin on it... I finally got a LED bulb for it so it isn't bad at all. But back in the day... like 4 weeks ago... yeah... while doing the exhaust I got the full sting of the kiss 60 pissed off watts of Incandescent skin fryer love on my arm.

I'm looking to do a swap from a 5.7 to 6.4 intake I already have it how would I have to go about connecting hoses etc. Also I'm going to need to extend some wires

Hey B Mason, I just purchased one of these manifolds for my 5.7. I have a couple questions... Where did you get that little breather on the right side of the manifold? My 5.7 doesn't have a hose for that spot. Is it alright if I just leave it open? Also, what is that elbow shaped hose coming out from directly behind the throttle body? I don't have that piece either.

Vent to/draw from atmosphere for the crank case.

Hello Sir, what is that small breather next to your CAI? Is that a stock CAI, whats the throttle size ? And if you have attached a breather there then what about the hole in the airbox that connects through a pipe by stock fittings?

Driver Power the cai is a Hellcat airbox and filter. The breather is to keep crank case ventilation out of the fresh air stream. The throttle body is stock. The nipple on the upper breather is plugged. Great questions and good eye!

B Mason Thank you Sir. I was about to order a Legmaker True CAI and they had this as a part, the breather for 392. What they want us to do is, as there would be no breather hose connecting from crankcase back to the CAI as in the air box we currently have in our stock, i think thats the reason they supply this breather to fix in the outlet of crankcase.

Driver Power that is correct. The legmaker does not have the same provision for a breather when compared to the stock box.

B Mason so is the breather the legmaker supply sweet enough to release enough as stock or if its less it might harm the engine. Do you have any idea, Sir?

I like the idea of leaving the decorative plastic off as well. It may extend the life of your Coil Packs and allow more heat to rise away from the engine. What about the Belly pan ?

Ok I got you so if Iam going to let that shop order me a 392 from there supplier and install this manifold on my car make sure they use the msd controller and not the runner delete kit is that correct??

Use the Z automotive controller from MMX,

It's an issue if you don't run the controller

I have a question. How can you tell the difference between engine 6.4 and engine 5.7 if the cover is removed. Honestly I am really eager to know

Intake manifold is a dead giveaway, as is the orange block. If the valve covers are off, the rocker shafts are further apart on the 6.4 than on the early 5.7. If the heads are off, the bore is larger on the 6.4 than the 5.7.

Not in the intake, no... it is a dry intake manifold

@@bmasontv thanks for reply B!! I see dirt gathering in corner front and back block manifold area.(passenger side)..maybe its 2 black tubes under manifold? Or valve cover..my scat has 115k miles
