If you use the EGR block off plates you have to get a custom tune done to shut it off. Otherwise the vehicle's computer will be looking for it...will run rough and probably backfire. Expensive to eliminate

I used a gun barrel brush to clean my EGR tube with dishwashing liquid , worked a treat got a massive amount of carbon tartar out

On my application no. The gaskets are built in.

what is the hole where your oil fill tube is? its close to the manifold...mine is missing something

Found this video while researching this exact topic. I’m going to be installing a ported intake manifold from MMX soon on my 5.7 hemi. I noticed the foam between the intake and block/heads. Is that factory(I haven’t pulled my intake before)? If it’s not factory I’d love to know where you got it from and the brand if you remember. Appreciate the video it’s going to be very helpful!

Yes the foam insulator is factory

Any tips for removing that brake booster hose?

Yeah you can spray a little wd40 at the base so removal & installation are a little easier

How do you get the map sensor harness off the intake it seems it's held on by some type of plastic pin or screw

It snaps in and out, you just pull it up and it comes right off

It's running like dog doo doo when I go to wide open throttle it cuts out the rpms go up but it won't accelerate at wide open throttle

The mds solenoids can cause that

Did you reuse the intake manifold bolts? I've read somewhere they use lockpatch on originals and once taken off will need to be replaced.

Hey man, this short series of how to remove the intake manifold is excellent. Well done! I had a question for ya, I used this video to get down into the valley of the motor where there are two holes that are unused. I believe these are to be used with a proper hoisting plate. Do you know what thread size these holes are?

I have the intake off now it's just getting bad solenoid out new one in

My hemi dropped a valve seat upon startup after fueling up

There’s actually a specific order to take the manifold bolts out and put them back in. This has got to be the worst instructional video ever. “This tube, coming out of here… got to the thing I’m not even going to bother showing to you because you should just know what it goes to.” Literally why I’m on here looking for guidance.
