I'm 37 today, I remember during my childhood when I use to be 5-7 years, my achi use to take me to this shop on her pension day. We will go the bank near to this shop and wait in the queue. She will draw her pension from the bank. She taught me how to write the challan and will help count the notes. She will then take me to this shop. She will buy boondi for all her 10 grand kids in different koodai's. On return she will hire a rickshaw and we both come home. I will be eating boondi all the way 🙂

Thanks to Deena and Balan Aiyya for kindling my childhood memories. Boondhi is an amazing cuisine very much resembling granules of Gold and its lush yellow indicates auspicious moments in our life. The basket is used for better air circulation to preserve Poondi for a week. There used to be La La Nei Mittai Kadai in Big Bazar , periya Kadai veethi near Malivasal. Mail Mark also supply tasty Boondi. This Palakarai Boondi is all time great. Those good old days Palakarai Eda theru , Pallaiya Kovil (Catholic Church) , Retcher Kovil (Novena / Sagayamatha Church) was called mini Rome. It was a cultural melting pot. Most the movie 🎥 industry celebrities actor Sivaji , Ashokan , M. R. Radha , Ravichandran and legendary Thiyagraja Bhagavathar , lyrics writer ✍️ Marduda Kasi , poet Vali all hailed from Trichy. Naturally these sweets added value to upkeep the star ⭐️ image. Great service. I wish them all the very best and hope to order two baskets 🧺 next week to bring it to Singapore 🇸🇬. All is well.
