@@ArisDrives I just watched the whole tl;dw and it's not just this video, there's something for all levels, especially since it's a sim, it has its own inner workings, so no matter how much you know, there's something in there for you. Unless you programmed the physics of the game haha

First of all, thank you for the effort you are doing with these Viedos. Slowly, through your explanations, I am getting better at the setup work and thus faster in the lap times. Thanks a lot for this. I left a subscription.

First of all.. thank you for taking your time to explain us this important stuff. I think everybody here feels the same way and aprreciates your time. I have a question about the damper settings in motec. My problem is that on every track where I try to get this 20/30/30/20 distribution between the dampers I have to set the slow bumps/rebounds as low as it is possible and the fast bump/rebound as high as it gets. Imo this seems weird and false. Tips are welcome :)
@ArisDrives5 жыл бұрын
The 20/30/30/20 rule is more valid for less aerodynamically influenced cars. I wouldn't follow it that much for GT3 cars. It might also be that the 20hz resolution of the motec export, makes it difficult to find some speeds. We'll try to enable for you guys a high resolution for some of the channels.
@GregorSchill5 жыл бұрын
@@ArisDrives sadly i think its not because of the resolution. Because in ac when you use acti its the same "problem". I would be so happy if there is an answer for this behavior :)

Again love the content, would love some insight on cars like the Audi and Lamborghini with their smaller operating windows. The Huracan won the Endurance championship but we see it less and less in races due to the sheer difficulty of finding its operating window and then the difficulty in driving it at or near the limit.
@GregorSchill5 жыл бұрын
yep exactly same opinion. Nice advice/suggestion.
@ArisDrives5 жыл бұрын
Keep in mind the particularity of the Huracan. Yes it won the Endurance championship but it was mainly on the efforts of an incredible team, it's engineers and it's drivers. Almost all the other Huracan teams had a hard time finishing at the top of the podium. I will definitely do live streams dedicated to each car

@@ArisDrives Thank you Aris, I definitely realized that, especially in your streams were you mentioned the ease of some other cars to reach the limit and stay there like the AMG and Ferrari. I've been a fan of the Huracan for as long as it has entered Blancpain back in 2015 and storming to pole in Monza (one of my fav tracks). However, I do wonder how Grasser did not achieve at least the same level of success as FFF Racing, at minimum Bortolotti is enough for a pole lap and win. Would also be nice to hear more stories about IRL racing that you've been privy to. That's always enjoyable as well. Again, many thanks, for the sim and the content, it's tops.

Hello Aris , i have a question that isnt related to ACC and its kinda weird. Why do some cars like Ford RS200 , Lamborghini Countach , Ferrari 512BB and Testarossa have twin coilovers per wheel? What all these cars have in common is that they are all tubular space frame. Is that the reason for this twin coilover setup? I really cant see any advantages of this setup aside from maybe smoother suspension movements? Meanwhile it has a massive disadvantage compared to single setup , increased unsprung weight. So i cant really understand why those cars went with twin setup. I asked here because i thought maybe you would know since you are very very knowledgable.

So dampening is a way to bleed off the oscillations (energy)which is created by the energy behind the spring when it’s being used

Shouldn't the spring oscillate above and below the x-axis? After it gets weighted by the car it should be in a partial compressed equilibrium state.
@ArisDrives5 жыл бұрын
True, but the graphs are for easy of understanding and demonstration purposes. Also remember that the inertia of the hole body, can pull the spring in bigger oscillations, but the suspension also has travel stops in extensions to keep the spring from extending over the limit

Was the issue of telemetry laps not saving when the User folder has a special character in it? ACC won't save my telemetry because my username has a tilde in it :(

A tilde in the username? Oh don't know about that, but it certainly does sound like something that could cause issues... maybe you should visit our official forums for specific support or at least report so we can see if we can do something about.
