I’ve watched 600PL for a few years now and admittedly struggled to feel sympathy for the guests featured on each show. They displayed a lot of self entitlement and spouted many excuses as to why each month they’d not lost weight. However something struck me about Kelly. She had a sad aura about her. She seemed like a genuine sole with the ambition to get to her goal weight to enable her to go to college. I was so sad to learn of her death at the end of her episode, 10 months into her weight loss journey. RIP Miss Kelly - such a sweet natured lady.

She didn't even try. She threw herself into the cab and got herself stuck instead of actually trying to sit up in the seat. It's sad she died but these are all consequences of not doing sh*t but eating for however long. Gluttony absolutely sucks. But there comes a point where sympathy has to go out the window. I still feel for her but come on. Either she wants to be healthy or not. If not, I won't push it on you. If so, don't expect sympathy from me but expect me to push you to be your best self exactly how Dr Now does with a majority of his patients. It is a shame that she passed away after making so much progress, but I'm so glad that IF she had to pass away, she did so while she was proud of herself and she had a positive and encouraging outlook on what was going to be the beginning of a better and healthier future for herself. They should open up weight loss clinics for inpatient support (make insurance companies cover the cost including medicaid) and let them stay as long as they can to reach a healthy weight for their height (bmi 18-20). People will do so well with this kind of support. I bet at least 50% of the obesity problem in our country will go down. Offer nutrition and training support to help keep it off.

no wrong, you cannot keep them in a controlled environment because it is not due to them changing eating habits when everything is done for them and controlled, because even after 9 months they would go back to their old ways, they must get help and then go back to normal living and implement new ways of looking at food, it must be done by themselves.

First: The resources are out there,, but u can't make people lose if they refuse. Second: You can't keep a person in a facility forever, at some point they will have to rely on their own inner strength. Third: 30 days is enough inpatient treatment. That is what drug/alcohol abuses get for a lifetime, then they have to do the work outpatient.

At the beginning of this episode, they show Kelly walk to the bathroom and sit on the toilet. She said that she cleans herself EVERYDAY by lathering herself up as she sits on the toilet bowl and then rinses herself off in the shower. She goes on to say that she is happy that she has no problem reaching every area of her body AND that she doesn't NEED anyone to help her. HOWEVER, as they show her getting into the shower, she holds onto the towel bar and breaks it! Come on! She does this everyday? So I guess she fixes that towel bar after it breaks everyday too! I would have so much more respect and compassion for them or ANYONE if ONLY they would just be honest!

Stay strong young man..you can beat the odds..I had my ankle removed and replaced with a cadaver bone due to decades of running not using proper sneakers...I was told that after surgery I may still be in a wheel chair for the rest of my life ..I refused to accept that I healed after a month and was walking after a month..while I can can no longer run marathons I go to the gym six days a week..I was the only one walking who had the surgery so they did a documentary on me..I don't know you but I'm sending you good vibes.

RIP Kelly, the world did you wrong but you only held yourself accountable for your issues. So many others in this show have so much to learn from you. In the end, your will and spirit outlived your body. Your legacy is positive ❤️

Kelly’s death made me cry. She worked hard, dealt with her demons, overcame them, lost half of her body weight, and was well on the way to getting her life back to normal. All of that just for her heart to give out. If it weren’t for Dr Nowzaradan, she would have died 8 months sooner. Kelly fought hard for her life no matter how bad the odds were.

She looks so exhausted and out of it in the scene at the end where Dr Now is talking with her. You can see she isn't physically well, even compared to others that size.

Truly truly truly heart breaking. Nobody should have such a sad life with such little happiness just to end so tragically. I pray that she’s in heaven now jumping up and down doing all the things that she always wanted to do. I’m sure this is one of the patients DrNow hopes to see on the other side with healing he couldn’t achieve

It's ridiculous that we don't deem food addiction as equivalent to drug addiction and push for mandatory treatment etc. for people. Like the drug rehab system isn't great but we don't even have one for food, and we should.

It rare that I feel sorry for these people but the look on her face in the cab was a life leaving the body and it was hard not to feel symptomatic. Hopefully it a was a driving force to help. I know I weighed 295 and I was flying, and I was unable to tie my shoelace while seated. I felt so fat and disgusted that I dieted and exercised as much as I could. Now I am 215 and that good for me

Let's give kudos to the cab driver who sacrificed the springs on his car, and the firemen who may have hurt their backs trying to wrestle this screeching behemoth out of the car. When did double-wide stretchers, chairs, doorways, wheelchairs, and beds come into the mainstream?

Just sad from the start to the tragic end 😢 You can tell she was lonely & depressed when they started filming..but when the wait started coming off she started looking forward to living again and found hope 🙏. Her uncle kicking her out was also heart breaking but just from the kids I feel as tho that wasn't his idea more so his wife's 🤷🏾‍♂️ but R.I.P KELLY

This is heartbreakingly sad. And our western culture is trying to say it’s ok to be overweight or fat. Please people don’t listen to that. Being overweight IS UNHEALTHY. Don’t hate yourself, love yourself enough to work on losing weight and moving. You don’t have to run a marathon or climb Everest just walk!
