Because he was unattractive, the jury not only believed but, more importantly, gave much weight to his story that Michelle abused him. I have first hand experience with attractiveness disparity. I'm a conventionally attractive woman, and I married a man, who for the sake of brevity, I will say looked like an ogre. I was raised with the belief that "beauty is on the inside". I learned firsthand that it is fucking not! He turned out to be even uglier on the inside. I left before he could kill me, but I am convinced he was plotting my murder. His abuse had lasting effects on my mental health. I've gotten help, but I'll never be the same.

Breaking things off without killing a partner is already the "norm", though. It is very much normalized. What isn't normal is being obsessed to the point that killing an ex partner crosses another person's mind. Even if someone couldn't fathom killing a partner, letting someone else consume every aspect of your life is incredibly unhealthy. We also hear stories of men and women who take their own life after their partner simply decides to break things off. People need to have boundaries and self awareness enough to not allow themselves to be engulfed by another. I do understand that sometimes people realize just how unwell they are mentally only after they've been involved in an intimate relationship. And some people are so far gone that they never fully realize that what they did was immorally wrong. It's unfortunate.

I was there when this happened. A friend of mine lived on the property right behind where this took place. Around the time that this was going down, we would hang out near on the porch towards the back of the property, which would be facing the area where Kelly would eventually be buried. We remember hearing strange noises, but attributed them to the fact that sometimes kids would find their way into that area to drink, play paintball, or screw around. It wasn’t until a while after the investigation took place that we pieced everything together. It was eerie.

Sobering Fact:. Whoever you are, whatever is going on in your mind & how you feel about yourself will determine the type of partner you attract. As a former heroin addict in recovery this case makes me physically ill. I spent a decade in a relationship with a violent and abusive man who, incidentally, was the person who introduced me to heroin, knowing that I was three years clean from opiates at the time (not making excuses for myself, I chose to try it - but I had no access to it, at least in the beginning, except through him). I had recently gone back to him, after spending three months in a domestic violence shelter, when he brought it home for the first time, and I've always thought he was using it as a means of controlling me and preventing me from leaving again. Sure enough, I spent another seven years trapped in that hellish relationship. He was a vicious and severely mentally ill individual who had been diagnosed with delusional disorder by a court-appointed psychiatrist; one night, towards the end of the relationship when it had become clear I was planning on leaving for good, he told me he was going to stab me in my sleep, cut up my body into several pieces, bury me all over the state, and then tell the police and everyone else that I had relapsed on heroin and disappeared. I left with a single suitcase two days later, because I've read and watched enough true crime to know that when a person starts telling you they're going to stab you in your sleep, you should probably believe them. I am horrified that my nightmarish close call became reality for this poor woman. To this day, even though I am in long-term recovery...a recovery I fought and clawed for and that I put above literally _everything_ else in my life...I still fear that if anything were to happen to me, the first thing police would say is "Oh, she must have just fallen off the wagon." I agree with Dr. Grande - his pathetic attempts to smear her character after brutally murdering her is, for sure, nothing short of hideous.

I don't see the problem as the attractiveness disparity. I thought his major problem was the socially awkward, strange and weird qualities. These qualities certainly manifested when he abandoned his wife and child because he couldn't handle being a dad, preferring to run back to his parents and having parents who would allow such a thing. In the case of the woman with the abortion, however, no such amends are possible, because that kid doesn't exist. Get over yourself. I think a key element is that Mark did not adjust well to being a father. This could be because Mark wanted a good looking partner, but he didn't want a family life with her. Having a trophy wife he could show off might have made him happy, but being a husband and having two kids to deal with might not have been what he wanted. I would be willing to bet the pregnancy wasn't his idea. But if he is really that socially awkward, he might not have understood that using birth control was in his best interest. If he left it up to her, she might have wanted to have his child in the mistaken belief that it would secure their family life together. That would explain why he left. His friends might envy him for having a good looking wife, but they wouldn't envy him if he's stuck at home being a dad.

While I understand why you are saying this, it's not just the cost of the meds. The issue is, also the doctor's appointment said it takes to get the meds. I doesn't matter what the health problem is too, they want you to go get a check up, talk to the doctor, and then get a prescription for the medications. Usually they only give you a certain amount of refills, and then after that they want you to go into the actual office. Without insurance, doctors visits are very expensive.

Apparently we have similar obesity stats to the US, but I personally don't see it in my day to day experience (I take a lot of PT and have rarely sat next to an obese person. He triangulated, cheated on her and mistreated her as much or even worst than he did with me. He was very handsome on the outside, but his inside was evil and twisted to the core, she on the other hand was some years older and not attractive at all, but seemed quite nice and very agreeable. I remember when he once told me that she adored him like a God and that their two kids had lighter skin thanks to him and that they are treated better than darker skin kids by his wife’s own family. I was left speechless 😶 . I thought that race- mix couples weren’t racist, but this story proves it wrong. Needless to say that for him to marry a woman of color was obviously giving him tons of narcissistic supply, specially by that woman herself and her family which adored him like a God for the simple fact of being a white Arian German dude. My theory is that she was already suffering from mental health issues and as a result, had poor judgement that made her seek out people who were similar in nature to her. I think people usually are attracted to someone who is similar to them in looks, finances, age etc. I watch another psychologist on you tube and he says men only care about how young and beautiful a woman is and women don't care at all about looks only a man's wallet, but I have never found this true. I read a quote; you don't attract what you want, you attract who you are. I think this is more accurate.

I would have no problem taking care of the finances solely if she participated in budgeting and fulfilled other duties or work in the partnership. Men feel like they're being taken advantage of in that situation if they get no respect or feel disrespected or not needed. Men are very simple in what they want and need to be happy. I believe society has lied to women to make them think that men care what they do for a living or how educated they are.

True. I have had many opportunities to date highly educated people like doctors, attorney and accounts executive when I was in my 20s. I turned them all down. I married my husband we came from the same class poor his family even poorer. But because I'm very attractive I still am still gets stopped in my 40s lol. I rather be happy and stuffer a bite then live miserably. I don't feel if I marry a doctor etc my life would be happy as I am now.

Even if you would say a most simple word, he would ask in a really dumb sounding, long drawn out voice "Whaaaaaaat's thaaaaat meeeeeeean?". Ugh no, that is unbearable. Had another very attractive looking guy on first (and last - I walked out midway through) date who told me (I met him when I lost my purse, and he handed it in) "I took your purse, but then I realised who it belonged to so I gave it back", and also gave tales on how he steals women's handbags. Proud as punch. Character is definitely more important.

Here's what I know as a fact: attractiveness does NOT always have to be symmetrical regarding men an women. If the woman is pretty/attractive, she definitely has the option to date/marry a man who is NOT physically/aesthetically pleasing. But he must possess other traits to compensate - Status, money, ambition, confidence, a particular line of work, etc.
