I appreciate the fact that you said that Tom Jones was not new to you but this song was. Some folks act like they never heard of him before they react to it but he has made some pretty well known songs over the years. You seem very genuine and every time I see this video I have the same reaction you did. How is it possible to say so many meaningful words in such an emotional way in less than what, three minutes? Sometimes... Magic is real and this time capsule from 1967 is truly magical! Google the year 1967 to get an idea of how old this song is... Vietnam was raging... LBJ was President... My Uncle died (Ok, It's true but I just threw that in for the Hell of it). But you get the picture. Some things are just timeless and cross all boundaries. Well done TJ and well done SKS!

The wonderful Sir Tom made this song his own and yes Lonnie wrote it and his son dueted with Sir Tom.................HOWEVER (LOL) that is a common misconception as Lonnie wrote it in 1961 when Sir Tom was totally unknown and singing with The Tommy Scott Orchestra in Welsh Wales. Tom was not known until 1963 :)

My mother, sister and I went to see Tom Jones in person many years ago when he came to our state. He was a hugh heart throb back then. In person, his voice was absolutely unbelievable. The power and emotion and clarity put chills through your body no matter what he sang. He was very sexy too with the dancing he would do during some of his songs. He's now 80 years old and sings just as good as bach then. Amazing God gifted talent!

I’m 51, so I’ve heard of Tom Jones before, but when I was around 21, I had just recently broke off a three-year relationship because I caught him cheating on me red-handed with my best friend. I swear to God this was just a coincidence, I turned on the radio, and this was the song that was playing. I fell apart so fast I had to pull over because I couldn’t see the road. I had to call my mother to come pick me up and get my dad to drive the car home, because I couldn’t stop crying. It just rips me apart every time I hear this song, and even though that was a long time ago, and we actually patched things up and got back together, and are still together, it’s incredible how a song can bring back such painful memories so quickly, as if no time has passed at all. You can’t tell, but right now I have tears streaming down my cheeks, and while I love Tom Jones, I just can’t watch anymore, because I know exactly what he meant when he said I’m never going to fall in love again, because that’s exactly how I felt when I walked in on my partner and my best friend, who is no longer my best friend obviously. It took a long time, but eventually I offered forgiveness, because we all make mistakes, and I’m glad that I did, but the emotion is still there very deep inside, it only takes one song to bring it right to the surface, and turn me into a blubbering idiot!

I met he and his wife personally multiple times by just sheer coincidence of being in the same place at the same time , on a plane , in LAS VEGAS , and in AC. I have also been to his concerts . I have never watched /seen that specific Tom Jones video. Your pausing thru the video gave me a new perspective on his talent for delivering a convincing message while singing the lyrics. He was actually dubbed “The Voice “ during his career due to his vocal power which few could match. Extremely good looking and confident performer. He sings almost every genre and has had hit songs and albums in every decade from the 60s to the 2000s. Check out his TV show from 1969 to 71 for many different styles and great duets with the biggest names in show biz. Many clips are on you tube. I’ve been a fan of that cat since the 70’s. He did some covers back in 94, The Lead and How To Swing It...that’s an odd one to listen to but oddly great! If you want sad, Barry Manilow’s How Do I Stop Loving You will rip your heart out!! Great reactions!

this is my first time seeing you, i think you are great and sweet, i liked your reaction. My mom used to listen to Tom Jones when i was a kid, i think i was the only one of my friends that knew who Carlton was dancing to on the Fresh Prince, lol.

Oh, the irony...he says "please don't make me fall in love again", and here he is 57 years later making ladies of all ages fall in love within the first 10 seconds of this song. And now in his 80s and can STILL sing like this!
