Did The Waiting get cut from the video for technical reasons? I'm pretty sure it was the opener for this show.

Tom had the expression of complete joy throughout this concert. Wasn't it wonderful to see such well deserved happiness for this great "rock and roll" star? RIP our dear Tom Petty.

@@briankelly5432 Stan left the Heartbreakers in October 1994. The last album he was on was Into the Great Wide Open. He did his last gig at The Bridge School benefit Oct 1994. Tom was in the middle of recording Wildflowers when Stan left and Steve Ferrone was a session drummer on that album which impressed Tom so much he invited him to join The Heartbreakers full time.

I understand the drummer in that period of time. But I can see why later on down the road he went for the other dude. His depth was phenomenal just friggin phenomenal. Because every drummer has a style but some have a lot more soul deep in those little sticks than others.

I remember going to the US festival just an hour away. Too bad The Glen Helen pavillion is closed now. hard to go to shows anymore like Aerosmith, Steve Miller, John Fogerty, Foriener, Boston, Doobie brothers, Steve Miller, Peter frampton etc cause they pale incomparison. My good friend who is an attorney for 1 of the guys, took me to 20 +concerts a was fortumate to be back stage with the basd before and after the shows. It was 5 years before I could open my mouth and take some pics. I was just too much in awe of "these rock stars: even though they were the most down to earth guys. ALL of Them! A 50 something male groupie...that was me. sorry Tom is gone but at least we can relive him on this channel. THANKS Allyn

Scott Waszak I don’t think they went “downhill “..but definitely had their lights a bit dimmer...that idiot Iovine...Stan becoming unhappy with the treatment from that little worm... They weren’t as kick ass ...but still great...until Stan left..then they were mellow and a bit bland... Except for monster Mike..the best guitarist ever..
