But a group of young white students were asked individually how much would it cost for them to trade their skin color in for black and some said no amount and others said many many millions. Nobody said "nothing at all i would love to be black!!!" So young white people completely understand that this would mean a straight free fall off america's socio-economic hierarchy if they traded in being white for black. But a lot of white people feel like admitting this would somehow implicate them, wrongly i might add, in America's continuous exploitation and denigration of its black population. To fix something you have to first admit there is something broken, when people deny there is a serious problem in this country they stand directly in the way of the voices that are calling for change, real change.
