I like the film version quite a bit as well. I have the Superbit DVD version. It misses out on the extras that have been on some UK and international DVD releases like a director's commentary track, interviews with Pete and Roger and Ann-Margret talking about the scene with song written special for the film, Champagne but some of that stuff is on KZbin anyway. What you do get is a good high def restoration of the film and the original surround sound audio mix.

Love this album, but It's not my favourite concept album of '69. That honor goes to Arthur by The Kinks. That's actually one of the best albums of the 60's and is really worth a listen.

The records sold as part 1 .and part 2 separately are.said to have different.versjons.any idea what the diffrences are???

Well no doubt how you described the album Darren made a lot more sense to me and I have to admit for the life of me I honestly could not get into this album or even make head or tail of it either. I heard the album and seen the film way back in the 70's and musically I found the biggest majority of the songs boring. "Pinball Wizard" was without doubt the stand out track and the only thing that really spoke to me. I honestly could not stomach watching the film again it was totally ludicrous in every aspect. But then again most films done by bands and artists back then were all silly including The Beatles, Cliff Richard and so on.

I think sf sorrow is better ,,,, i would also go as far to say its my fav album, but beatles are my favourite band
