Board 1 - if you use the theory of vacant spaces then you should play east for holding the Ace of clubs....so hold up spades and then cash diamonds finishing in dummy and play a club to the king.

I found the notes on how the Acol Robots play, including Truscott 2NT on doc.bridgebase.com/Help/Acol-robot-system-notes.html - Truscott: After a takeout double, the fit at the 3 level becomes very weak and the invitational bid becomes 2NT.
