Hi Guys, in this video we will be taking a Final look at Re painting this VW T5 transporter Campervan in nardo grey on the bottom end and reflex silver on the top half, in this video we will be painting the bumpers in 2k direct gloss , tinting / smoking the rear tail lights, powder coating the wheels in pristmatic rootbeer and also have a chat with lewis our customer.

Hard to say as it's all great, I do like the painting stages and the way you explain what you are doing which helps me improve what I'm trying to do and mostly making a right pigs ear of it 😁 I just love watching you paint mate so would be great to see the jobs over a few episodes with more detail, oh and make them longer!! 😉 it would be great but I know you cant 🤗🙏👍

I normally give a light coat of plastic primer and give it a light rub before painting.. looks lovely.. beautiful job Tony

very nice job Tony. i would have liked to see how you approached the masking in the door shuts to give an acceptable divide when the doors are open. I do 2 tone paintwork on brand new transporters for a company and i find to get a quality and professional effect its one of the biggest labour aspect of the job. ( i.e. to be able to open the all the doors as its sprayed to include the shuts etc ) as said very nice and well done.

so basically i just fineline a tad into the shut and then foam and paper the shut up so i can keep things clean and have a clean edge mate if i do another il show it for you

All of it really, but the favourite bit's for me were the wheels & rear lights as I can have a go with these as don't really have the facilities for body painting at the mo. Do you have anymore PC videos in the pipeline

Van looks stunning, I like the two tone colour and the colour of the wheels it certainly boost the value of the van . I have a ? About the tinted black lights can you tell me that the black paint you mixed in the clear is that any black paint and can you explain a little more thank you for the video and look forward seeing your next video stay safe Tony

Ok mate so I mix 2k gloss black into clear at the ratio I said in the video mate you can mix any 2k into it or even base I beleive too but I just personally use direct gloss into clear to give a transparent tint

No mate lol , so normal clearcoat with a spot of added 2k direct gloss black added

After watching your video I Purchased the 4600 extreme with the blue air cap and it seems to put paint on one side of the air cap around the holes just wondered if you had the same issue? I bought the mini extreme it does the same thing. I have a year old 4600 extreme clearcoat works perfect.

No mate none of mine have any issues with the air pushing the paint the wrong way side or out of line and into the aircap , I’d suggest soaking everything in thinners and making sure it was perfectly clean mate

Tony it looks like your using low,ish pressure how come you don't get much peel ,I sprayed low pressure and 10% thinners but quite alot peel in the finish , any ideas please

Yes mate you could this just made it easier for us down the line to do any touch ups and say a front bumper on the future to keep it show standard

What's the 2k direct used ? Don't know if you mentioned it in a previous video. Most don't do that well with 3 full coats, so just wandering if it's because of brand/ more flash/ less thinning or what ? Used everything from Debeer 3000, glasurit, standox, mipa etc but 3 full coats has always been a solvent pop guarantee ?!

I always leave it a good flash off inbetween mate or as you say it’ll cause nightmares , this is kapci from a local supplier seems to hold up well to having a good hit so does Mipa direct gloss tbh

The back wasn’t as it was a new replacement one , the front was originally but had already been painted we just repaired re primed and repainted it
