This is 1993, not 1992. I was at this (these) shows that they played the weekend before Undertow was released (it was two nights in a row). Failure was the opening band and Maynard did not Baaahhhh at the audience as has been reported, they played the show straight.

I agree...I love listening to Maynard. As a huge Tool fan I finally got to see them live after many attempts in the past. The moment the airways announced Tool tours, the tickets would sell out as fast as Zeppelin did back in the 70's, so I read.... Had to fly to Va to see Tool. Oh was it worth it. My girlfriends and I had a blast.

Huntingtonst, now huntingtonst1 is Maynard. A few weeks before his first account was removed. He posted a video of himself with a handheld video camera at his keyboard during a live show with a Puscifer toy dancing on it. His channel is completely dedicated to Tool and he has uploaded hundreds upon hundreds of videos, some that people have never seen or were going to. He probably gets his friends to tape the shows from different angles and

Correct. The liner notes on Aenema include a sick painting of "Doctor" Bill Hicks (Arizona Bay album) doing physical therapy on a clearly insane and mutated Maynard's leg. It is titled "BILL HICKS another dead hero". Another fold of my CD with the prismatic or fresnel lens jewel box make the Tool Eye move. Another has a man that looks like Maynard from the back blowing himself as another Maynard and the band looks on and rises to the occasion from the couch.

"Fuck L. Ron Hubbard, and fuck all his clones"... I feel like they've been pretty clear about how they feel about scientology, Or any blind following for that matter, including the tendency of Tool fans to form unhealthy connections. Maynard is known to remove himself from the presence of people who announce themselves as "fans" because "fan is short for fanatic".

The album was dedicated to Bill Hicks, but I doubt Eulogy was. They were admirers, even friends of his from what I understand (the song "Aenima" was inspired by one of his routines).

Anyone who says Maynard is losing his edge is a F%^&*in Tool (Pardon the pun). I saw Maynard on tour with APC and Puscifer after he recorded a new Puscifer album this year..and I'll be seeing Tool in 3 weeks! Three tours with three differt bands and a new album....? Think this makes him the new James Brown!
@legojuggalo148311 жыл бұрын
The songs were inspired by bill hicks.. its not about him. The reference to "flushing it all away"... "to Arizona bay" is something taken right from the mouth of bill hicks. His ideology deeply influenced maynard.

You're both wrong about Maynard. He's actually Atheist, no religion whatsoever. Spirituality and religion have just been inspirations to him musically, and songs such as Judith from A Perfect Circle and the Wings of Marie sequels are inspired by his constant conflict with his mother because of his disbelief and her immense faith.
