You can convert your portable airco by placing an cardbordbox with an 150 MM tube adjusted on it and place it on the bottom where the airco sucks the air in. Move the 150 mm tube to outside and it sucks the inlet air from outside, this airco in he video is basicly that same principle. I use this trick on my portable 7000 Btu portable airco for 5 summers and it works like a charm.

For a house or shed, then yes. This is for portability. People use them in their camper van, or for camping in various situations and for very small spaces… and specifically can hook to an ecoflow power station and run off DC-which makes it more efficient… non EF power station will only connect to it by AC (alternating current). And this a/c can be connected to solar panels when equipped with the battery. (And it can be used inversely for heat.) So it’s a niche product, not going to suit those who could instead use a window unit.

@dubmob1513 күн бұрын
That's how all dual hose air conditioners do it, even though it's sub optimal. People buying them wouldn't want to put up with 20 foot hoses to run to another window for separation. Even at it is the two hoses is a mess taking up way too much space. Regular window units are much better; portable AC units using hoses are only for situations where there's no option for anything else.

hmmm, 300 watts of cooling power seems like a drop in the bucket trying to cool a tent. This is more suitable for under the blanket cooling. The human body produces about 100 watts of heat already. Plus, it also needs to cool down the area in the tent, so it's like an uphill battle with a tiny device.
@ToolsElectroDIYАй бұрын
It works. 100w human heat doesn’t make sense.
@gconolАй бұрын
@@ToolsElectroDIY On average, the human body produces 100w of heat. It produces over 300w of it during high activities like sports....... If you're confused about using watts, then you can convert it to Joules. The units are different but they're all measures of energy.

BTU is more representative of heat energy than a watt, so saying it in terms of BTU/hour would be more accurate. 1 BTU = 0.293 W
@dubmob1513 күн бұрын
A person emits heat energy in various amounts depending on their activity level. Here are some approximate values: - Relaxing (sitting or lying down): - 100-150 watts (approximately 340-510 BTUs per hour) - Light activity (walking, light exercise): - 200-300 watts (approximately 680-1020 BTUs per hour) - Moderate activity (jogging, cycling, swimming): - 400-600 watts (approximately 1360-2040 BTUs per hour) - Intensive activity (high-intensity exercise): - 800-1200 watts (approximately 2720-4080 BTUs per hour) Keep in mind that these values are approximate and can vary depending on individual factors such as body size, age, and gender. Additionally, these values represent the total energy expenditure, not just the heat energy emitted. It's worth noting that the human body emits heat energy through various means, including: - Radiation (infrared heat) - Convection (heat transfer through air movement) - Evaporation (sweat evaporation) - Respiration (heat transfer through breathing) These values are useful in various applications, such as heating and cooling system design, and human thermal comfort analysis.

A thermometer might be a good thing to try to acquire to enable more extensive data gathering. They're commonly used at many scientific research facilities to measure temperatures of air and objects under evaluation, and are fairly cost effective means to determine capabilities of heating and cooling devices. Well worth the investment; they're very useful for individuals interested in objective measurements in addition to opinions and hearsay.
