I'm a Makita guy but do M12 for some stuff, I've been using this jigsaw for a few months and it's perfect. The 5.0 batteries are game changers! Tons more power and less cut-outs. The dust chute is hilarious and I would love to find out what the engineers were thinking. the standard Collins coping foot fits well.

Should take a look at the M12 Brad Nailer when that comes out. They're building out a pretty compelling lineup for trim work.

Hey mate, I'd love to see you have a look at the Makita DJV185Z compact 18v jigsaw if you get a chance, it's seems to of flown under the radar and no one's really given it a review. Great video as always 👍

Definitely M12 for me. I have makita gear but the m12 lineup is so impressive, I had to buy some. You can't really beat using lightweight tools when you can. Only m18 i have is the angle bradder, again, a great tool.

I think this is the first video where I've seen you make a positive comment about ergonomics towards a Milwaukee tool. Then again, I've not seen all videos. But that speaks volume about how much they improved that on this one.

Particularly the M12 tools since they usually compromise the handle ergo for the battery.

It seems, that Techtronics TTI decided to kill Aeg 12v pro line, to adapt her great features for Milwaukee, which is their premium brand... what a pity for european users of that platform... it apllies as well to american ridgig 12v

I have both M18 and M12 tools. I've found that I will reach for the M12 tools first almost always. Sometimes, I need the power the M18 stuff provides, but not very often. I can pack WAY more tools in much smaller bag or box with the M12 stuff. The flange for the M18 slide on batteries eats up a lot of space and the tools just can't get as close together in storage. I know a lot of people don't like the grips on M12 tools, but they fit my hands perfectly. Now stuff like circ saws, the M12 is not the way to go if you are making a lot of cuts in lumber. But if you just need to make a few cuts, it's worth the extra cut time to not have to carry the bigger tools and bigger batteries. As for this jigsaw, it's the best one I've ever used. Plenty of power, excellent features, The vacuum attachment is a joke, though, in my opinion. It works, but it really needs a swivel joint where it joins the tool, IMO. It's not sucking big chunks, so I don't see that it would degrade the dust collection.

Brilliant blade pop out feature. I don’t have to touch a hot worn out blade when I have to change it in the middle of a cut.

I've got a D grip Makita and i use it upside down for coping skirting, It's a bit awkward (base board for the yanks) I think this could be my next jigsaw.

I just got mine a few days ago. Can't believe how small the thing is! Great tool all around, but I just know I'm gonna break/lose the dust cover/zero clearance insert!

The base adjustment on the brushed version is rubbish, comes loose on its own while the tool is on. The allen key isnt the most convenient method but at least its a sold fixing that wont slip

I got a brushless Makita D-handle a few months ago. I had been using a Bosch barrel grip for years so when I got the Makita I wasn't use to loading the blades by just shoving it in. I've been missing out on that loading feature for years. I'm well into M12 and this new jigsaw looks sweet but just can't see myself getting it considering I just picked up the Makita. The only problem with the Makita is, they didn't pack it with the vac attachment and trying to find it here in Canada is like trying to find a unicorn.

This saw IMO is debatably the best at least barrel grip jigsaw on the market if not the best of both barrel and d handle…and this bgrip would be especially good for use with a Collin’s coping foot on it, great review tools. I’d love to see you test that hikoki barrel grip and d handle jigs as the b grip, that one has never been released in N American market unfortunately. Oddly enough probably in part due to the disjointed nature, things being lost in translation, or possibly just lack of communication or idk but even the d handle 36v jigsaw was released only to be discontinued and then later re released on US market but the barrel grip never was so I’d love to see the Mhpt bgrip pushed to its limits, see how it compares to their d handle i.e. is it the same motor etc. just different body style or is it a completely different motor etc ya know, also seeing it compared to the competition would be great as honestly I don’t think I’ve seen a single video on KZbin, demonstrating while comparing it to other saws & that’d be really helpful to see how it stacks up against even this guy.

I’m glad they upgraded it, but I can’t see a reason why they’d remove the base adjustment lever, for an Allen wrench.
@trashes_to_treasures15 күн бұрын
I guess most people don’t need to change the angle that often and an Allen key instead of a lever saves a lot of space, making the tool smaller? In my case, I rarely use the angle function on a jigsaw so that I’d be perfectly fine with using a key.

I absolutely love m12 lineup but drill-like tools handles are much more awkward to hold than makita's. It's a pity Makita don't have even a half of those tools in 12v line, so half of my tools are xgt and other half is a horde of red little monsters. Gen3 drivers are all beasts, combined with 2.5HO batteries I cant find a reason to use anything over them on 95% of work.
