THIS IS THE BEST KZbin CHANNEL!! NPR has created such a winning formula that I can think of a totally different top 10 tiny desk performances and not feel I was giving up anything in quality. I've found so many new, exciting artists this way....anyone who says today's music is crap, obviously hasn't watched any of these performances!! I hope NPR never stops this series....

I enjoyed the list, found some new names I've never heard before. More importantly, let's give props to the concept. It's great to hear music stripped down to it's purest form. Sure some groups introduce some spectacle, but there's something soothing hearing it in the bare-bones format where there isn't anything separating you from the artist.

T-Pain has a fantastic voice, but I personally didn't know that until he won The Masked Singer. I wish he'd do more songs like he did on the show. His rendition of Sam Smith's "Stay With Me" is so moving.

Love that St. Paul is on the list. How Leon Bridges only got an honorable mention against some of these others is beyond me. I think I would have added Corinne Bailey Rae. Her presence on Tiny Desk is better than other concert clips or videos that she has. Lastly, they should have given props to the sound engineer. That guy is fantastic delivering that quality in an office space.

I think the main quality of tiny desk is the fact that a lot over over produced and over edited artists get to show what their music is like without all the label BS. Adelles music is already so stripped back and soulful all her performance did is solidify something we already knew. For a lot of people this is their first time experiencing certain artists music so organically. Thats the only reason I think Adelle isnt higher.
