After blocking my narc ex GF from EVERYTHING, she actually went to the extent of creating a fake IG account with photo's, followers etc. I have never received an IG request from a good looking woman in 5 years of having an account, so my curiosity got the better of me and I began chatting. It only took a couple of days of chatting that the penny dropped and then came to the realisation that this was actually her! The phrases and language in the conversation were exactly mirroring how we interacted, including asking "was I was OK"... Narcs are deeply disturbed individuals..

She contacted me after 2 months. I was kind of surprised but I shouldn’t have been. Thank God, I was able to summon up the self-control to completely ignore her phone calls and texts. The next day, I got the social media contact, followed by another call and another voice mail. The message said “how are you? why is it so easy for you to forget about me? I don’t understand” at which point her voice broke as if she was starting to cry, then she hung up. A very insightful female friend told me “the sadness and desperation are not an act; she’s losing control over you”. After this, I blocked her number and her email address. I made the mistake of returning to her twice and I learned the hard way, how foolish that was.

Sometimes the narcissist (male or female) will not come back if they see you as too much of a threat to their ego, either because they've attached too much of their shame to you, they feel too exposed and humiliated by you, or they know that they can't control /manipulate you anymore, etc.. But, if you're dealing with a narcissist, just know that IF they do come back, there is a hidden agenda (i.e. to punish you, extract more resources, etc.).

My girl (ex now as of 6 weeks ago) dated on and off for 8 years and when we weren't together she was always texting me randomly to ask how I was doing. This last time we were together (for a little over a year) I finally realized this was completely unhealthy and that her words never matched her actions. I always felt like I was begging for her to meet my needs (there was always an excuse that she couldn't somehow because she needed to heal from her childhood trauma and needed me during that time) When I finally for once called her on her crap she made it clear that she didn't feel safe with me and that I was disrupting her peace. When she realized I wasn't going to continue this unhealthy relationship she went into meltdown mode, covered her ears like a child, and called me an abuser for raising my voice when I had finally had it with her BS. Her parting shot was... Well, now you can take care of your own needs. I got my voice back, turned to her, and said... Well, there's nothing new there, I've been doing that for 9 months, but the difference is that I won't be taking care of yours now, and don't even try to contact me again because I'm going to delete you, and everything about you as if you never existed. (Don't know where that all came from but it felt good to say what I felt for once) Now, this doesn't mean that these last 6 weeks have been easy because I know that I put my all into the relationship. It's getting easier every day. And the peace is amazing. These videos are helping to validate what I went through... Thank you!

Never attempt to explain why or what you plan to do with a narcissist that you want to detach from. They will read this as doubt in your mind that they might be able to work with. Just go complete no contact, and don't look back. It's a lesson all of us empaths need to learn.
@porkypile Жыл бұрын
"and called me an abuser for raising my voice when I had finally had it with her BS" this is such a classic. They push you to the brink of insanity, sometimes after hours on end of circle arguments which are impossible to solve because they dont want them solved and as soon as you say 1 bad word out of nothing but pure frustration the victim-hood card comes flying like a turbo-jet and slaps you in the face. Been there many times... My ex hated nothing more than when I spoke my mind, didnt matter if she'd disrespect me and almost dehumanize me if I dared to tell her to shut it and listen for once she'd freak out totally as if I had killed her relative or cat. It's so insane and scarring for the person being on the receiving end of the narcissist, it's traumatic, and it's so easy to back-peddle and think you are the one overreacting and that you are the "bad guy" in the drama when every seed is planted (or watered) by the narcissist so that they get to wear their victim-hood shirt... 😅

I found that listening to content creators like this one and HG Tudor helped me a lot. I was able to emotionally disengage to the point where when I got a text from her out of the blue I didn't have any kind of emotional response. Also, I realized there was something wrong with me continuing to want her after I realized she is a covert narcissist with the emotional maturity of a 13 year old. You got to move on and things get way better. Otherwise you are a spiritual slave to this person that never loved you in reality. Best to you.

This kept me hanging on, which I now realize is exactly what she wanted. We are still working on selling the house, after which I plan to move to a different state and cut all ties to her. Another tactics is leaving memory paths, or reasons for mutual contact in one´s house/flat/appartment. When I broke up with narcissist - and after her official withdrawal from my flat with two suitcases - I was constantly finding her belongings hidden elsewhere in my flat. Her T-shirts inserted between my clothes (although she had kept her clothes in separate wardrobe and left it empty) her photos - or our mutual photos - inserted in books, her cosmetics or bijou intentionally lost in dark corners of my flat, or a cheap necklace inserted between two pieces of furniture... It was surely not a coincidence, or a logical result of mutual life at one place, some of these items I have seen for the first time. The bijou was outdated plus she never wore a bijou, only a bit of jewelry. A lipstick was her brand, but not her shade (probably a result of some experiment that didn´t turn out well, so she "recycled" it for this purpose). Or a T-shirt with word "Sandy" on a chest - I have never seen her wearing such T-shirt, but Sandy was her name... After finding approx. fifth such item, I´ve got angry and did a complete overhaul of my flat. I ended up filling one big bag of her "forgotten" belongings. I kept it in my car until she attempted to contact me. Then she received it. When I saw her pale face, I was completely convinced it was just her tactics. She had expected appearing these items coincidentally and slowly, causing me a constant return of memories, and giving me "a fair reason" to contact her continuously (just to return her some item, right...), slowly luring me back into her game. But she has got it all inclusive at once. After living at a same place for another 20 years, I did a good job that day, as I have never found a single item of her ever since here.

Things that typically kids and teens go through I am absorbing all of those things at a rapid state with the concussion symptoms as well as anger, frustration and lack of control plus depression and paranoia. Something I've experienced is 3rd party hoovering by a family member that my ex knows I was very close to. After sending me gifts, multiple social media connecting attempts etc I never responded to her so I get a "Just hoping you are doing ok?" mail from this family member twice, although a year or two had passed. Another one just beyond the three year period even though I never responded to these either. It's so very sad.

I had a lot of narx in my life due to my upbringing in a enmeshed familysystem and a narc brother. Romantic partners were all narcs. You were talking in another video about sex bombing. That one opened my eyes big times. You are outspoken in details and that is what I needed. Thank you for that. Hugs from Amsterdam.

Narcissist sister just sent a card after I went no contact with her in June of 2020. I didn't open it. I wrote "Refused. Return to Sender" on it and dropped back in the mail. I was wondering when she would do that. After her saying she doesn't love or respect me, divulged personal mental health information on me, and saying she does want anything to do with me in her smear campaign, why would I want anything to do with her?

While I don't foresee my narcissistic ex attempting this, I have seen how in the limited amounts of conversation we have she tries to tell me about her life as if I asked or care. The only reason I still keep in contact is because I pay her to take my son to and from work but once I get more reliable transportation that's over with until she gets all her garbage from my place I'm at. I think the only reason she will attempt this more and more is if I delay breaking our lease which I am in no rush to do because this was not my choice. I'm taking my time packing and moving lol. But I will keep an eye out for these tactics especially since I know given our history, her new source won't even measure up.

I went no contact with my narcissistic mother 3 and a half years ago. She has a hold of my 4 sons and not too long ago she sent my sister, her “golden girl” to tell me that my sons want to patch things up with me but my mother wants to reconcile with me.. implying that she can help me repair my relationship with my sons if I agree to return to the narcissistic family cult, coincidentally, my mother needs my signature for a legal affair...

My narcissistic ex was completely a control freak , and now as an ex , she still is. She has to have all the power & control. Everything has to be her way , but yet she acts like she doesn’t care about me at all. It’s like I’ve been stuck in this never ending cycle of chasing her . We were together for a year and a half , and we loved one another , but the more I tried with her , the more powerful she felt. I would try spoiling this woman with love , affection , intimacy , and even materialistic things , but nothing was ever good enough. All I ever got from her were lies , rejection , deceived , and then I was the reason our relationship went bad. She blamed me for everything because I would confront her on how she was treating me , but then I was the one starting fights and the one who loved the drama. Now that we split up , it’s even more worse. It’s all about making me out to be a horrible person , and it’s not about what she has done to make things this way . The bad thing about it is , I still feel like I love this woman and hate to think of the future without her. I wish she could get help , but i don’t think that’s going to happen. She also has Borderline Personality Disorder, and she’s a Dismissive Avoidant.

Can confirm. My NM has done all of this since I went no contact in 2021. The last communication she tried was a text in Sept 2023 where she started off with playing the victim while making me seem like a monster for not tolerating her bs, then claiming to want to find common ground in the next sentence. Then she asked what she did to make me remove myself from any involvement with her, citing that I was raised the same as my siblings and we were all loved equally. (We were all also mentally, emotionally, and at times physically abused "equally", and that's NOT love.) Then she went back to playing the victim by telling me "You're not the only one who is sensitive. Think about how insensitive you are to me." Next, claiming to worry about me all the time - the same excuse she gave for demanding that I call her once a week or she would report me as missing after I moved out. Then said I was welcome to call, text, email or whatever. No thanks. I'm good. Go live your life. Leave me out of it.

The reason I had to go no contact is that the person always said to me "I'm not going away, you can't get rid of me." And when I was upset about something and said I needed a little time to process and I'd get in touch in a day or two, they called the very next day and said "I couldn't wait any longer." I just had a very tough time with that, and I am not good at setting adult boundaries.

Hello. New subscriber here. It's cool how I can be going through something and the KZbin algorithm has an answer. A couple hours ago I found a discarded narcissist in the bathroom. He is friends with the person I rent a room from. He tried to say something, but all I heard was mumbling as I walked away and closed my door. I actually felt like a b for being so rude. Now I'm proud of myself for not caring about his yap yap and for not being a lot ruder.

I was the one begging and doing the things to get her back after the discard. I don't know now I feel confused. Was I the narcissist who pushed her away? But I never said anything bad neither did I cheat or be violent. I was always there whenever she needed me....

I never devalued her nor did I ever shame her. She would repeated discard me and then I would beg her to come back. :( All things aside I feel better that things ended. But I have been struggling with the questions on why it happened to me. Was I the narcissist..

No you weren't. The fact you are ASKING if you are the narcissist means NO. I just dropped a covert narc and I asked myself the same questions. I was not the one dragging my name, I was not the one cheating, I was always there for her. Part of recovering is realizing that YOU were NOT the problem.
