I'm your host, Darren Van Dam!
Tired of looking for good movies to watch on Netflix, Amazon Prime or other streaming services? Every week I recommend a handful of the best movies on Netflix, Amazon, HBO etc. so my subscribers never run out of good movies to watch on streaming. Spending 10 minutes watching one of my videos could save you hours of searching, hours that you could otherwise spend watching good movies on streaming that you otherwise might not have ever watched or even known about.
Thanks for watching!

I really appreciate how you anticipate the possible range of appreciation of the viewers , i.e. "if you liked... if you didn't like.." or "you're a fan of [actor] or if not, then". So much more value beyond your own conclusive opinion or some weighting of others' concurrence.

Thank you Darren my dude, saving me during this time bro, month and a half of no work. "I see you" is on prime and damn thanks for not saying too much about it, that was a good ass movie. Also "tiger King" if people haven't watched it, is epic, it's weird, it's hysterical, it's troubling at times, pretty awesome docuseries man. I saw you recommended that in March, your movie/show picks are the truth man, we seem to have very similar taste in entertainment. Thanks again for all the content!

I'm a fairly new subscriber and have been watching for a while now and am totally hooked . You're presentations are top notch . Energetic , enthusiastic and very honest opinions without any B.S well done and keep up the good work . Now Uncut Gems I tried really hard to sit through this but just couldn't do it . I really like Adam Sandler but sometimes his movies suck the big one . I did like The Cobbler though I thoroughly enjoyed that . Uncut Gems however where there is heaps of frenetic arguing back and forth and over the top of each other where no ones listening and no conclusions are reached just does my head in . That may have something to with me being an only child , single and living alone , but hey no ones perfect . Absolutely LOVED Parasite . If anyone's worried about subtitles there's not much to read . The sentences aren't very long and reading them doesn't detract from you're viewing pleasure . The way I describe it to my friends is like this...……….. It's like he took a Tarantino movie or plot and improved it . So many twists and turns with no plot holes and when things start to go wrong it goes from bad to worse very quickly . Well worth a look you won't be disappointed . Thanks again Darren as I said before , keep up the good work .

Thanks for the new list. Between u and me, I just binge watched “Love is Blind” on Netflix. Something I never would have done without your seal of approval. Like I said, keep that between us, ok? Also, “Tiger King” blew my mind! Every episode had me on the edge of my seat. I can’t believe that’s a true story.

Even though Crawl is silly....dang it is enjoyable.I was lucky ,I got it for a 99c rental from Prime a while back. I also rented I See You when it was first available and I found it to be an intriguing, unique thriller. I 've been wanting to see Ready or Not..but I will probably wait for it to be free. I really enjoyed Dr Sleep! I wasn't even aware of Jo Jo Rabit... So that is a possibility along with Parasite and 1917 .Although,I did see that Scary Stories told in the Dark is on reduced rental for 2.99$ on Amazon...I've yet to see it and I need the escapism. This reminds me ,thank you for you rec of He Never Died...I really truly enjoyed that with its mix of humor and supernatural. Also Darren, I'd like to give you a more comprehensive complement..I find turning to your videos to be a soothing ,relaxing and reliable experience in these troubling times...so an even bigger thanks for that! Stay safe☺

Love your recommendations! In future videos, if you could simply state that a film is an arthouse film would be incredibly useful. I'll know to steer clear as much as I like to give them a go. The Invisible Man can induce tension like very few movies can. That said, I enjoyed the hell outta this. Nerve racking, suspensful, a bit gory, and has a statement. Brilliant. It's meant to be a Theater competitive price when you COULD have 10 people in your house for all they know. Of course you're not going to pay 20 alone but you also COULD pay 20 for a single person, a drink and a popcorn at a theater. All you have to do is this thing called 'Wait' and it'll come down to the regular release price when it is....wait for it....released. It's not that difficult to understand.

You've given us a LOT to look forward to. I loved "Knives Out" and can't wait to see "Parasite", but the one I'm now most curious about is "Color Out of Space". I'll say up front that I am not a Nick Cage fan, but if the very end is as you say, I'm intrigued. Ever since I watched "Ex Machina" and "Whiplash" on the same weekend I'm obsessed with movies that have perfect endings as they both did. I haven't seen any since. No "Bloodshot" review? I'm not keen on paying $20 for it, but I enjoyed the comic so am hoping for a decent interpretation.

The Invisible Man is great story telling. Im not so good with subtitled movie because I'm a slow reader, lol, but this (like Pan's Labyrinth and Parasite) is worth it. Uncut Gems is good too, although I saw the ending coming. If Sandler had never taken the comedy route, he'd be taken more seriously now as the talented actor he is.

Hey Darren, great vid as usual. I have a recommendation for you to review. It’s called Plex TV and it’s a free service with movies and tv shows. I just watched a German horror film called “Goodnight Mommy” that you might want to look at and maybe do a review sometime in the future. By any means, keep the awesome content coming. the 3 I wanna watch the most is the invisible man, ready or not, and knives out. the invisible man looks really good. im gonna rent it. its worth 20 though. its still in theater. even though its not brand new. still worth 20. the hunt looks alright. but i heard some say its not good. I think paying 20 to watch from the comfort of ur home is unbeatable. on comcast rentals of new releases cost like 6 or 7 dollars. u know considering that's not to much less then 20 considering the situations.

Unpopular opinion; I can’t stand Adam Sandler; in anything. I also saw Parasite and Lighthouse on the same day. Loved both. Knives Out was, to me at least, the most expected gem of last year.
