TMP aesthetically gives me the same vibe as, surprisingly, Luigi's Mansion. It's not scary: you aren't scared while you play it. But something about the horror elements its inspired by just gives it a sense of being... off. And weird. In terms of the gameplay, they know people are only half interested in the actual trivia questions in any trivia game, so they use that to their advantage. By giving out semi-obscure questions not knowing the answer goes from "dang I guess I didn't watch enough movies from the year this was made" to "I'm pretty sure nobody here knows what they're doing". Getting it right makes you feel like you're safe and you're able to grab popcorn and watch the others, while getting it wrong makes you happy you get to play a minigame. I love the sort of weird sort of plot element it has too. Having literally every semblance of story being hidden behind the random dialogue between rounds gives you the feeling of "oh shit, did that just happen?". That and some of the pseudo-ARG elements like the blogspot page explaining tie breakers being an actual website you can go to just adds to that weird and cool feeling.

I will always say that Split The Room is an interesting experience. It is basically Quiplash, but like with a "hard" difficulty setting. You really have to know your audience for that one, and trying to be the most divisive can sometimes be harder than trying to be the funnier person.

18:26 the music in the last round of Trivia Murder Party 1 is unmatched. The amount of tension just the music alone creates, along with the frantic gameplay and tension of competing with everyone is just insane. I will always prefer TMP1 over TMP2 purely because of this music

I've had nothing but luck with Joke Boat it seems but that could also be the circle that I play it with. I don't disagree with you personally putting it in the bottom because it is a game more about selling a joke rather than actually telling a funny joke, but I have so many phenomenal memories with that game. Trivia Murder Party is such a good pick. It's the ultimate "everyone-can-play-this-at-any-time" game. Because it requires no creative input outside of certain minigames a lot of people who don't have the energy for games like Champ'd Up love to play it and it's probably the game I've played the most.

Trivia Murder party is great, but I think that the game that has the best time encapsulating everything Jackbox is about is Patently Stupid There are a handful of phases to the game. Like many games it opens with you writing prompts for everyone else, it has a drawing element, 2 writing elements, and a presentation element. It doesn't have trivia, but it has everything else Jackbox as a company has to offer, and it is timeless because the prompts are written by you, the viewer, while trivia changes as facts happen around you.

Survive The Internet and Trivia Murder Party are favorites among my friend group. We also love Fibbage 3 for the “enough about you” version, Role Models and Wheel of Enormous Proportions (which I don’t think was out at the time of this video). I’d personally replace Joke Boat with Monster Seeking Monster though as Joke Boat can be fun if you have some inside jokes you can make while Monster Seeking Monster is really repetitive and just kinda drags

I have to put TMP near the bottom of the totem pole personally. I don't like the theme, I hate quickfire maths questions which crop up surprisingly often and I don't find the host funny. Annoyingly it's one of my friend's favourite games so I eventually have to throw him a bone and fire it up. We used to like Civic Doodle but there are better drawing games out there. Civic Doodle feels a bit constrained in what you are supposed to draw. Our group often just get rebellious and draw whatever the hell we want instead. I want to like Joke Boat but I spend 90% of the time cringing rather than laughing.

Where's Patently Stupid? It is my personal favorite, agreeable by many, and boasts some of the richest gameplay and funniest moments while mixing shock comedy and complex comedy forms together with its use of catch-lines, names, and the drawing, mixing good segments of other great games in an original way by encouraging the development of stupid inventions, which makes it fun for everyone even if you suck at drawing due to the help of the other 2 things. Truly a masterpiece IMO and there is nothing that sets it back for me.

Tee ko is great but SEVERELY flawed because not all the drawings get used. It gives you a long time to draw like three times and then some of those drawings don’t even get seen. They really couldnt get a slogan matched to every drawing? even unused drawings randomly getting made with unused slogans would be better than drawings not getting used at all.

My favourite and least favourite games from each pack: Pack 1: Honestly I can't choose a favourite, because the games in Pack 1 aren't all that good. I suppose my favourite would be the original Quiplash, because it's by far the most hilarious game in the pack, and my least favourite has got to be Lie Swatter. Pack 2: The games in Pack 2, from my perspective, only slightly improved from Pack 1. It's still much easier to pick a least favourite, that being Bidiots because it can be kinda hard to understand and if you don't understand it, you're probably not gonna have a lot of fun. My favourite is pretty much the same as last time: Quiplash XL. Pack 3: I like Trivia Murder Party a lot, but when it comes to my favourite game from Pack 3, it's gotta be Tee K.O. I really like the drawing games of Jackbox, and Tee K.O. is one of the best. It even lets you buy the shirts. As for my least favourite, it was a hard choice, but I'm gonna say Guesspionage. I would much rather have to answer a trivia question using my own knowledge rather than blindly guess and hope I'm close. Pack 4: This was a tough choice. My picks for the best of the bunch were between Survive the Internet and Monster Seeking Monster. In the end, Survive the Internet came out on top. I think it's by far one of the funniest games in any Party Pack. For my least favourite, I picked Bracketeering for the same reasons given for its placement in the video. Pack 5: For the longest time, Mad Verse City was my favourite game from Pack 5. However, another game soon trumped it: Patently Stupid. As stated before, I like Jackbox's many drawing games (except for Bidiots) and I personally think having to come up with product ideas to solve problems is a creative concept. As for the least favourite..............do I even have to say it? There's no question, it's obviously Zeeple Dome. Pack 6: Pack 6, for me, was a big downgrade from the prior 3 packs. The games in it are about as entertaining as the games from the first two packs, which isn't saying much. If I had to pick a favourite, it'd be Push the Button. It's Fakin' It, but good! As for my least favourite, this may not be my most agreeable pick, but I find Dictionarium to be kinda boring compared to the rest. At least Joke Boat might get a little laugh out of some. Pack 7: I'm not gonna beat around the bush here, obviously Champ'd Up is the best one, I like the drawing games and in my eyes, Champ'd Up is the best one of all. As for the worst, I'm gonna have to go with The Devils and the Details. I like it, but it's not nearly as good as the rest.

I honestly disagree with the Earwax’s placing. I don’t think it’s one of the best, but I think that it’s simplicity can be fun. In fact, some of the non-fart, non-gun noises can still be extremely funny with the right mindset. Sure, it’s simple, and maybe a little restrictive, but there’s a lot of fun to be had with it still, and having fun is the most important part of gaming, especially with a group of friends.

I think it's because you don't actually have to be good trivia in order to have fun personally I think the killing floor is the best part of the game I'd say there's even bit of a competitive style to the game but it's not so bad to the point where it's not fun not only that there's a game for everyone in the killing floor do you like to draw? The games got you covered how about word spelling it's got that to and a memory game a math game for math guy's and probably more I also like the other games where you can battle for money where your friends think you're not gonna take the money but then SIKE you do! Like what the other person said its because of the killing floor minigames for the people who answered wrong because most trivia games just deduct points while the killing floor aspect adds a small extra incentive to actually get the questions right not only that but it also changes the pace of the game in a good way because there is something else going for it instead of just answering a question and moving on. Another reason is the horror theme also plays a part of it since most trivia games pretty much go the game show theme, there is nothing wrong with the gameshow theme its just that its stale and everyone thinks of this theme when they hear a trivia game.

It's probably the best Jackbox game to break the ice with people with. Quiplash and other similar games where you reply to prompts sorta rely on you knowing the people involved so you can appeal to their sense of humor (+so you have the confidence to defend your inputs), but with Trivia Murder Party you can just jump in with strangers and have a great time. The Killing Floor sections help because a lot of them spark really interesting interactions between players, and the final section where everyone races to the room together is always super competitive because everyone is so engrossed in beating the one person who survived the whole time. Making comebacks is satisfying in a way no other Jackbox game encourages. Plus, as a bonus, there's less waiting time than other games. Games go super fast, and players don't have to wait around as long for other players to input their responses as other games

Unfortunately I can't agree with a part of your list because I HATE drawing games. I know you say "oh but if your art is bad, that's funnier, so it's better", but that's not my problem. My problem is that my art is so bad, that it's not funny anymore. I can't draw a good joke because no one understands what I'm trying to draw. So every time mine comes up, I don't get the sudden burst of laughter everyone else gets, I just get a bunch of "huh?" and "uhh" and "what's that?", and my face flushes red with embarrassment. Drawing games and lying games are my least favorite because I can't draw and I can't lie. Tee KO is funny for me solely as an observer, not a participant, and that really knocks it down for me. Conversely, I think Bracketeering is better than you give it credit for. Again, maybe I just play with different groups, but when I play Bracketeering, there isn't a "pick the funny one" option because everyone is trying to make "the funny one". This lets sense of humors clash spectacularly, and because the voting is so frantic and impulsive, it results in absolute blowout wins and huge upsets that result in big shouts and declarations of war. Any game with words is going to rely on how good your group's inside jokes are, any game with art has a more general appeal.

3. 3 Has the most bang for your buck with Trivia Murder Party, Tee Ko and Quiplash. If you don't want that one, 7 and 5 are also great choices

Personally, I’ve never been a fan of Tee-KO. It felt like it always took forever and dragged on, but that’s probably just me.

i couldnt disagree with you good games lists more, manily because my least favrote games are the drawing games, none of my friends or myself is any good at drawing and we just dont see the point when all of the drawings are bad

I love the list except for the number one, personally I think the style of Trivia Murder Party is cute but clunky, I can’t stand the host. The only jokes he really has to tell are “Isn’t this morbid?” Or “Isn’t this surprisingly mundane?” Still, not awful, just not for me. I like the more player input focused drawing or filling in your own answers game.

I am disgusted you didn't put Lie Swatter on the worst list. I would even go as far to say that I have had 5x the enjoyment with Word Spud than I ever had with Lie Swatter.

I don't get the love for TMP. It may keep you in until the end, but nothing matters until the end. And in 2, there are situations where nobody can win and basically render the game pointless, and that's not really fun. Combine that with the fact that trivia games are always gonna be solved at the end of the day... Bomb Corp, fuck man, I wanna love this game, but solo or co op, it's annoying to play and watch because some of the rules feel way too obnoxious and sometimes I lose because of contradictions that don't exist! Oh, and the biggest pet peeve of mine? UNSKIPPABLE CUTSCENES! Ruins the jokes and the game for me by a billion percent...
