I have done the ear movements before. Like the in the past, I put my finger tip in ear and quickly started shaking all over, with my knees banging against each other. I kept this up and started relaxing to the extent my muscles just let me roll over to one side. Most of my life I've been dealing with a C-PTSD and have been on clonazepam for at least 15 years, for a nonepileptic seizure in deep sleep. Am I too far gone or might there be a vagal therapy that can address a sleep issue? Thank you for your demo.

Thanks! I did find each of these effective, as I sit here at home. I'm excited to think I have them in my "toolbox" for when I'm at work.

I appreciate all these vagus hacks. This is new info for me even though I've studied health for so many years. I wonder if near infrared light over the ear would help, as this kind of light is supposed to increase melatonin. Just melatonin without the light doesn't seem to work for my sleep.

Dear Doctot the little finger and ear exercises are to be done on one finger and ear at a time or can be on both sides simultaneously. Thank you.

Is swallowing water just as good as creating saliva and swallowing.

I guess I’m really fortunate that each and every one of these is so effective for me. That’s probably at least partially because my mind is like a dress you have to hold together with both hands or it’ll fall apart at the seams

When you talk about having a "response", are you talking about salivation? Or something else?
@gehanmallawaratchy49707 ай бұрын
I think that it could also be a swallowing or a yawn.

Thank you. Very helpful and well-presented. I do find the back ground music is irritating and counterproductive. Just your voice is enough.

Thank you for this. I have a question, in the salivating exercise I felt like vomiting...

I did them all and the breathing techniqe made my mouth flooded with saliva. The last ear technique made me feel really uncomfortable
@TheMovementParadigm Жыл бұрын
Having copious amounts of saliva means that it put you in a parasympathetic state which is the intention. The ear technique, I would suggest going lighter until the very first sign of relaxation. If you did them all it may have been too much for your nervous system at one time.

Very nice, but please, the static-like buzzy nature of your soundscape is painful to some of us with hyper sensitive disregulation issues. Fingernails on a chalkboard and not at all necessary in an otherwise helpful video. TY!
