I'm waiting for the gardening mod from DOS 2 to make it's way here :D Meanwhile I'll be selling the vendors all the look-a-like items that resemble their missing inventories. No, no, no I would never steal, but I did happen to stumble upon a bunch of items on my way to the druid vendor and the Blacksmith thisefling, odd that!

Not to mention it's annoying when dialogue triggers with yor high perception character who has 8 charisma. That's a wipe ooff reload for me.

@@jocsonyou3465 i dont think so i tried it and it just switches character like usual. The original character in conversation will still be in conversation. I think that option is just there for players to roam a little more freely and or ambush an npc while theyre in conversation idk.

For a simple mod that can make the game feel fairly different, I really like the WASD movement mod. It basically makes it to where you can move around using the WASD keys rather than clicking. So it's kind of like a mix between playing KBM and controller, since it allows you to have direct control of your character outside of combat. It's really nice.

WASD mod, camera improve mod are 2 i think make you feel good playing the game without breaking it or make it too easy

@@FoodThenGames WASD movement with 'Native Camera Tweaks' mod makes the game feels like a regular 3rd person game. I doubt Larian is gonna fix their terrible camera and character movement in an update.

I actually like the camera and character movement as is but I am curious to checkout WASD -- however I'm not checking it out yet because I think Larian will change something, more because it has a dll I believe? And isn't installed like a normal .pak mod which I'm trying to avoid any mods like that as I'm running a let's play here on youtube and on stream and I don't want to chance them breaking in future updates if the dll or other parts of it take too long to get updated!@@benbasss

@@FoodThenGames The WASD mod uses required mod called NativeModLoader, which is a dll replacer for the bink video codec, so there's very little chance any game updates will affect mods that use NativeModLoader. Also highly recommend the Native Camera Tweaks mod and if you like getting achievements definitely pick up the Achievement Enabler mod, as they otherwise get disabled if you use mods. All use NativeModLoader so should be safe between game updates, and don't add anything in the save file, so they're also safe to uninstall at any time. They're a little bit like SKSE mods for Skyrim, just a dll and sometimes a configuration file to customize its settings.

I was just curious and tried this one mod out. But maaaan. The WASD walking mod was so refreshing, paired with a new camera mod, it felt like a new game. I recommend trying that one out.

You have definitely pushed me over the edge into picking up basically all of these mods. I do want to shout out the "Achievement Enabler" mod, which lets you enjoy all the cosmetic and QOL tweaks without loosing out on getting Achievements. I don't want to miss out on them for installing more options for pants. Great video!

The Fast XP to Lvl 6 mod is cool if you just want to mess around with different early game builds and multiclasses without having to grind the entire prolouge and act 1 again on a new character. Xp after lvl 6 is gained at the normal amount

There's also a mod out there that turns the Basket Full of Equipment gear into camp clothing, so you can still keep using gear you find in the world, while getting the looks of the mods gear, which I really like.

I wish the "Basket Full of Equipment" had a purely cosmetic/camp outfit options, that I could use with regular gear, but maybe there's no proper tools to do that just yet. Will definitely follow what BG3 modding scene comes up with in future :)

There is a mod called Basket Equipment to Camp Clothing I believe it converts all of the armour to camp clothes so you won't be able to use the original outfits as armour.

You can click the equipment slot in inventory to see all available options. Should make getting dressed a lot quicker.

As someone who is a serial restarter with this type of game I have really enjoyed the mod that reduces the experience needed to get to level 6. Doesn't effect the rest of the leveling but helps get my builds going quickly.

Your character looks so good! It's so annoying how I spent AGES on mine but he still looks so ugly in some of the cutscenes. I really wish there were more options for editing nose, mouth, eyes (other than color), etc. Maybe a mod will come along that will overhaul the customizer

I will definitely come back to this if I start playing this game. I don't really play games like this, but I really enjoy watching them played. So I bought the game at least. but if someone I know wants to play it with me at some point, cosmetic mods will 100% be a must, felt the base games character creation was very much lacking. Maybe there will be a mod that fixes the stiffness of the facial expression in the main character. Would probably be thousands of hours work to do that for the whole game though probably.

Be sure to check out the Bag of Holding mod that lets you store as much stuff as you want in it, and anything inside will have it's weight reduced to 0. The author of that mod stumbled onto the line of code that sets parameters for weight on items inside of containers by looking at the section of code governing that special Mundane looking chest you find in the Arcane tower on the balcony of one of the upper floors in the Underdark. For those who don't know, this chest can be used to somewhat be used as a BOH as the item weight of anything placed inside is reduced to .2 lbs. Entire suits of armor, weapons, the big heavy barrels of firewine or black powder you see at several places in Act 1, ALL of it can be placed inside, and the item icons for it will change to plates, cups, spoons, etc. It's pretty cool.

there is an mod that changes the basket items to camp clothing, essentially allowing you normal item progression but since you can hide normal armour all the time, you still get nice fashion the basket provides which i like more (sometimes the AC is lower or alot higher with the normal basket items, my draconic sorcerer got to AC 22 in act 1) Fashion Gate is so important, basically the only mod i felt i needed after my first playthrough. they really dont give you enough options especially before the city to fashion up :)

I would have done that but I really like the concept of my character having a "camp" outfit or a chilling/hanging out outfit and an armor outfit so having the two different mods is ideal for me... mainly because I am way to lazy to change out outfits every time I go to camp 😂

The bags bags bags mod is perfect! I've just been using backpacks to organise storage but it's so hard to keep track of what has what. Edit: One small mod I really like is one that adds scars to Karlach's face because it makes no sense that her face is clean. Also a mod called dye dye dye that adds all dyes to a couple vendors.

If you want your camp clothes visible 24/7 just hit the toggle that's located directly above the camp clothing. You should be able to set it to default or to camp!

5:28 One program that causes the loading screen to be stuck at 100% is Medal, as of October 26, 2023. If you don't want to use Medal while playing BG3 you can close the program and BG3 hopefully doesn't get stuck afterwards.

I couldn't manage to make search the room, bags of holding and dragonborn breath weapon to work. Also, limite breaker and level curve will make you level up EVERY SINGLE SECOND, so be careful with those if you want OP and not alright broken.

Something like Bags Bags Bags should've been vanilla. Having bags that automatically store scrolls, arrows, and potions like the camp supply and alchemy bags do would make inventory management so much better.

I was getting stuck loading the game for several minutes in DX11, however it seems that the second hotfix cleared that particular issue up. No more getting up to go make coffee, waiting for the process to sort itself out.

Im so hoping that once they release the official modding tools that we start to see more classes and subclasses. Right now I really wanna build a monk based off of Sun Wukong but my normal build isn't possible with the monk subclasses in game. That and I hope we get to see more races added in.

There is currently a Wizard subclass mod for Bladesinger, and a new race mod for Genasi which includes all their elemental subraces, so these mods are definitely coming and should certainly be easier when official modding tools come along. There's also a race mod to add some of the Elder Scrolls races in (but still no cat peeps. I want my Tabaxi / Khajiit).

I personally haven't had any bricked saves but I'm being super careful about what I install currently. However if an update happens you've got a 50/50 chance of being bricked until the mod is updated so it's totally a personal preference thing.

Noob question, is there some kind of aesthetic augment or is there just a separate option for the armor appearance you have vs the stat armor you're wearing?

The mod author for the basket full of equipment has a camp clothes add on which converts all these outfits to camp clothes. So you could use that and perma walk around in camp clothing but still get the benefits from normal armour!

if your using vortex you can "Purge" mods to remove em but certain mods that have permanent effects can break your game if removed, so be careful

Depends on the mod to be honest. CC stuff new character only until other solutions. Other stuff should be fine mid way through unless a mod author specifies otherwise.

This is nice but (I might have missed it) it would be a good idea to put a disclaimer saying that when the game updates the mods can break your save file.
