The new tier program just rolled out in a market 45 minutes from here in Columbus GA, so I've decided it might be time for Top Dasher again. My market can be tricky, and it's been more profitable to avoid TD since February. But times are changing again, so I figure it's better to adapt now than wait and get hit with the new program unprepared. Wish me luck.😅

Thats awesome, congrats on the new car. I wish I could pay all my bills on $200 a day, but at 5 days, thats only $1k a week/$4k a month/$48k a year. Not to mention needing to work 8-10 hours a day for that. As a portrait/wedding photographer, Im used to $3k+ a day for 6-8 hours. Problem is Vegas is dead for weddings in the summer though, so thats when I started trying the delivery apps end of June to pick up some extra $$$. Dont think either delivery driving or Vegas is gonna work for me. slave wages and extreme heat arent a good mix 😃 Range on that Model 3 is like 330 miles, so not bad for city driving. Just plan long road trips carefully and save up for repair costs, they arent cheap. Congrats again!

Why didn’t you get a Toyota Prius the new one? You don’t have to worry about charging up you can go as long as you need to. Toyota Prius is super reliable. It’s great gas mileage more than double your old car. You don’t have to have a range anxiety it’s a lot more reliable than a Tesla

I love my Toyota Prius. I’ve had four different Prius’s there of the best cars for delivery, reliable. Great gas mileage. Consumer reports recommended. The new one looks amazing. I can’t wait to get the new one next year. Toyota reliability. Never have to worry about stopping to charge. The reliability and fit and finish of Tesla are very in question.

I’m not Top Dasher this month, my deliveries ran short. I can feel it, can’t schedule when I want 😮. I think I have been top dasher after a month when I start it. And I just got large order program. My numbers are good 90s above 90s.😢😢😢😢

Id get a hybrid over an EV for delivery driving. You are just going to waste time charging when you could be making money unless you plan extremely well and even then, do you really want to cut a great shift short because you need to go charge your car? Hybrid is the one t get.

I just don't see how you get all these good orders so often. Or seemingly. San Antonio here, we have sprawl issues so $7 for 9 miles is probably gonna be your bread and butter.

He doesnt get all bangers, it's meant to look that way though. Count the trips vs how long he's out, which is usually 10 hours or so. There are lots of declines in there and the area he is in is spread out and he never shows the mileage. So Im sure plenty of these orders are considerably further than a couple miles. So don't get discouraged thinking all your trips should be $15+ orders going a few miles, thats not how it goes.

I tried not to be a Top Dasher this month cause I’ve been getting cheap orders, I don’t know how I ended up being a Top Dasher since I decline a lot of orders. My acceptance rate is like 63%. 😂😂

Those 45 dollar fill-ups were kind of annoying. I thought you should at least upgrade to a hybrid. I got a hybrid a year ago and like the range for long trips. But EVs could be even better, especially in your area. You could get a lot of free access to Tesla superchargers near Vegas hotels, if you have hotel status and don't pay for parking. But again why nickel and dime if you're top dasher, home charging is fine and huge savings compared to gas car.

Question. Does top dasher stay for the entire month after the 1st even if you dip below 70% AR? Or do you lose it once you dip below the threshold. I’m assuming it stays for the whole month.

it stays the whole month, although the new program 'Dasher Rewards' checks your AR every order sent to you. There are three levels Silver Gold and Platinum/ If you fall below one of the requirements for a level you will lose it instantly.

Yes I made top dasher again my accept rate is 91% now. In my area the orders have not gotten any better yet. I dash from about 9:30 am tell around 5:00 pm I take every order that door dash sends me.
