Foods to boost metabolism 1. Protein- Lean meat, fish, nuts, legumes 2. Caffeine- black coffee before workout 3. Dark chocolate- mono unsaturated fat. 4. Chilli peppers 5. Water! - dehydration will slow down metabolism.

Hi, Joanna I have a weird inquiry-i don't feel hunger, ever. i have never had a feeling in my stomach that demands me to eat, so i easily forget-i have gone a max of 6 days without eating, back when i was doing shift work (over 8 hours everyday) and have felt no negative consequences most people talk about when not eating (irritation, light-headed, dizzy, fainting, ect). it has me and my family concerned, but whenever i bring it up with a doctor they ignore me completely as if i said nothing. i walk 10k everyday and have to force myself to eat and somedays thinking about food makes me nauseous. could this be partly a metabolic issue? i know it's partly psychological but again, no one takes what i say seriously.

You need to lift really heavy weights in order to look bulky. Even sportswomen like Saina Nehwal and Pv Sindhu do not have bulky legs after working out and practising in such great extents

That’s probably because you increased your muscle mass and it is heavier than fat. But it’s important to lower down the carbs and fats you consume to help your body burn the fat your body already has and that will probably make you lose weight and toned up.

Hmm so if I put on 10 pounds of muscle weight I'll burn about 140 cal more a day... That's nice but in the end it's probably easier to eat 140 cal less than gaining this muscle mass. Obviously, the training itself burns calories too, but us humans tend to think we can control and change our bodies to a bigger extend than we can, most of our bmr is genetically determined and the complex and efficient wonders our bodies do every second to keep us alive are already impressive. We should appreciate that and work with what nature already gifted to us in an accepting and respectful way~ let's exercise because it makes us feel healthy and good, not just because we want to burn off calories!
