What's really great about doing these is that I'm slowly learning where the stretch is meant to be. I get the confidence to learn the pose overall, which leads to the confidence to focus on just that stretch, which gives me the confidence to relax the other muscles around me and focus on that stretch, which relieves that internal pressure of trying to perfectly stretch everything all at once that ultimately means I don't stretch anything. And I find that because I know where the stretch is meant to be, I'm not wrenching or straining other things to 'force' it to deepen - like trying to wrench my arm to 'twist better', when the focus of the stretch is around the hips. It's progress! :D

Ty so much for this beautiful practice! 🙏🏾🧘🏾♀️ I enjoy the “introduction of/invitation for a little movement in some of the poses, as well as the modifications offered. There were some moments where the background music was drowning out your beautiful frequency (not sure if that is an adjustment that can be made when you’re editing) so it was hard to hear the instructions you were providing or that we were transitioning to the other side or another pose. I also loved seeing how the yoga wheel can be used; I don’t have one yet, but will consider getting one soon.🥰 Love and light, sis. Keep doing what you’re doing! 💜😬

I’ve been doing therapy since October 2020 to help let go of some trauma and with that has come even MORE tension in my body. I just finished this tonight, I’m not super flexible or strong so I had to listen to my body and take a break in between but I haven’t felt this calm physically and mentally in a minute! 💖💖💖

It's so tough to appreciate how much *practice* it takes to relax into a stretch. I'll feel it somewhere, like in my thigh, but the rest of my leg will still be clenched up as I try to keep the pose. I'm happy I'm making enough progress to not only notice that, but actively think about unclenching everything now that I understand the pose better - the amount of space, where to feel the stretch, what I'm even comfortable with, and any tricky habits I need to overcome now that I'm seeing what's bent a little out of shape for me. :)

I was wondering where in my body I should be concentrating on the pose since when I did it I didn't really feel a stretch or sensation indicating I was doing the pose correctly.
