The fact that there are certain characters in this, rather unorthodox, daycare as children could mean the show was a front for a social experiment of some sort? In the Total Drama World Tour finale Heather says something I quite frankly won't ever forget- "I'M the GOOD GUY?!" when Cody called Alejandro the bad guy, that immediately motivated her to continue, that scene alone made me kinda change my mind about Heather (and also the electroshock therapy line and the end of season 1 with Harold). I actually quite like her character now, she's one of the best written (If not THE best written) characters in the show. Also another thing I gotta say I love how you do all this psychoanalysis on a tweens cartoon show's characters and dissect their motives and actions, it's really fun to watch. And you're one of the few who described the MBTI system really well too

Not every bad person has to be diagnosed as a sociopath or a psychopath. Perhaps we feel the need for bad people to be called "insane" because we are afraid we could easily end up like them otherwise. And it's obviously... really awful for the actually mentaly ill people who have to deal with the consequences of that fear.

Random detail: in the first episode of season 3, Gwen says that Heather’s ‘cousin’ was the one who sent her the video of Heather “making out with her cat”, if she is currently living with relatives, that means it is likely that her parents kicked her out so she had to stay with close family. When you look back at Heather’s character, it’s actually kind of depressing to think about what likely made her the way she was, and how maybe things could’ve gone differently for her. I hope canonically, Heather and Alejandro are happy together, and cut off their toxic families. I know it’s a cartoon but I believe it would make sense that if she were around the right influences, she could become a really good manager or teacher at some point.

Think you could talk on the possibility that the entire cast are all part of some giant government and/or corporation experiment? Since none of the cast remember being together as younger kids and Chef Hatchet had a role in supervising them as kids (only to reunite with them later on on the show) and he's probably a Spec Ops combat vet? I'm getting MK ULTRA/Manchurian Candidate type chills thinking about it!

I know Gwen, Courtney and LeShawna's childhood backstories. I'll tell you Courtney's parents forgot about her. She never knew what it was like to talk to her parents because they ignored her and forgot she exists, so she never really got to know how you treat other people because she was never taught. They only remembered poor Courtney when she would leave the house. She wanted them to notice her so she became a C.I.T and went on total drama so her parents would notice her. This is where Courtney's similar issue comes in. All Courtney ever wanted was love. Gwen's dad died when she was only a young child. Courtney was luckier, she was forgotten but still grew up with both her parents, ever since she was only 5, Gwen was missing one. She saw what happened, she nearly died. Her dad was hit by a speeding car, Gwen was nearly hit. Her dad had pushed her out of the way into a rock wall by accident, the moment he died Gwen noticed a cut on her head from the impact. It hurt alot but that's not why she was crying, she saw the body and knew her dad was dead. She was also born much smaller, and was only 5 days early, which is why she's actually quite small compared to other contestants. Bridgette shares in this. Gwen is small for a 15 year old, Bridgette is also small for a 15 or 17 year old. Gwen never made any freinds because she thought that if anyone made freinds with her, they would die or leave. Nobody really liked her either. People would always ask where her dad was because he never appeared. Gwen did not want to tell anyone he died a few years back, but they wouldn't stop pestering her. Gwen would often come home with a few bruises because of the other students and couldn't always keep her balance. Back to the family tradgedy, the thing was so truamatizingly clear it replays in her mind over and over again. Everything that had happened in her personal life turned her into a emotional, partially mean, goth. She has a tough exterior but is a very soft and sensitive person on the inside. LeShawna's dad, on the other hand, was a terrible person. He was still alive, just no longer lived with her. He drank, cheated and showed little LeShawna things she shouldn't have known at the age. Her dad also would beat LeShawna's mother, and if he was mad enough, LeShawna herself. LeShawna would often hide in a cupboard or closet while it was happening to avoid getting beaten or mentally hurt. Unlike Gwen, she could recover a few years after. It still stuck with her, but wouldn't come to her mind as often. LeShawna became a part of her stereotype with the DNA, just not as bad. She was really freindly so people wouldn't suspect much of it.

@@weirdland4902 Gwen goes on and on about not sleeping. Something happened, and whatever it was, it was traumatic. Then her dad is missing from a bonus clip. Gwen is also way smaller then alot of contestants. Courtney does her things for a reason, she's also a bit of a dramatic person. She'd go the extra mile with anything really. Courtney performed the way she did on total drama so she'd get noticed. And LeShawna's part is a theory my sister suggested so I don't know the proof
