This is such a gorgeous blanket. As my oldest son is in the middle of buying his first house, have the inspection this Saturday, I think I am going to make this as a house warming gift for him. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful talents with us and your struggles as a momma with a neurodiverse child. My youngest son fits that bill as well, I remember how crazy it was when he was younger and because we got that early intervention he is so much better at 14. I purchased the pattern. At the end of the Basket Weave sectuibm it states there are 16, ending on a single crochet row. Yet, I have 16 rows with the first dc row plus the basket weave rows. No where in the basket weave section does it state to do a single crochet row. If I do this row, then return to the alpine section, the it ends up being 2 sc rows, 1 dc row, 1 sc row. Is this right?

Hi!! I am working on a lap blanket for my sister-in-law’s mom using this pattern and I have a quick question. Is the basket weave section supposed to be a 4 stitch repeat per the picture and count or 3 per the pattern? Thank you for designing this beautiful pattern

I love both the alpine stitch and basket weave stitch used in the blanket. I were confused about how to put them both into a blanket together? With the alpine dish cloth, you did 40 chains start row, and with the basket weave, you did 50 start chains. My question is, when making a blanket with both do starts with an EVEN number of chaines? Please help. Thank you.

Hello! I purchased the Totally Textured Blanket pattern on Ravelry and I have a question. I am making the full size blanket which is 210 stitches across. I just got to the end of the first basket weave row where I am supposed to DC in the last stitch. I have two remaining stitches, however. I counted again and I have 210 stitches and 3 fpdc and 3 bpdc every time. Do you know how I could fix this? I am thinking to just do two dc at the end of the row since I have two stitches left but I’m afraid it wouldn’t line up when I went on to repeat row 2. Thank you!

I see that if I work in repeats of 4 fpdc and 4 bpdc then the math works out but it does not work if I follow the pattern of 3 of each.

How can 12 stitches by 16 rows of Alpine stitches be square? Alpine stitches involve lot of double stitches so it's got to be longer on the row side - it's 12 stitches long but 8 stitches +8double stitches wide, so should be much wider than it is long.
