This game has two guys with names (Rinnosuke and Elrich) + the goalkeeper without a name... In fact, all of gensokyo has only two guys with names, one of which I didn't even know about until this game (but perhaps he is fan-made).

I don't really know what the problem could be, are you sure you're running in japanese applocale? If not, that's a possible issue (I don't know myself since I never encountered the problem). If you want a working, patched version of the game, PM me and I'll give you links and instructions.

Go to your touhou soccer file. Search “style” and choose the notepad file. Change the font type to something readable like Arial or something, do that for every line. There’s gonna be issues in this method but it’s how I did it.

No, the Touhou Soccer games, much like all other Touhou games, were not made by any mainstream corporations but just by simple indie/doujin developers.

Alvinda Akbar Oki-doki. Now for you to answer a question of mine: If you wanted to know if Tecmo had made this game so badly, why didn't you find out for yourself? I mean, you clearly have internet access, and it literally took me between 5 and 3 minutes to check through Tecmo's page on wikipedia and the Touhou Soccer page on the Touhou wiki after I had read your question and thus find out if Tecmo had any involvement in making the game at all or not... compare and contrast that to the 5 months since your initial question and the 3 months since your request for people to "pls answer [you]" for you to finally get an answer.
