☀️ About us---------------------------------
Hi, we are Glenn 🇧🇪 & Cecilie 🇩🇰. A couple going from a 3-year long distance relationship to fulltime travel. Instead of deciding which country to live in together, we saved up money and went on a trip around the world. This is how far we have come. We don’t know where we will end, we are just trying to enjoy the journey. We always love to hear from the people who watch our vlogs, so don’t hesitate to leave a comment if you have something on your heart.
Thank you for watching! We appreciate it a lot. Happy travels!

Kudos to both of you. Seems you done lots of research. Well done. FYI, Malay language use J and Y in a very precise way, J pronounce as in John and Y as in Yes. Nice vlog btw. But since Jonker isn't a Malay term and the Dutch been there before, I am not sure about it too haha. But as Malaysian, we still stick to the local language rules, I think.

I am sure you are right! It sounds better saying Jonker as in John - we often get the pronouncations wrong 😆 Thank you so much for watching our videos ❤️ Have a good evening.

@@WorldwideWalkers Jonker is a Dutch word, so it pronounce as Yonker. But most of the Malaysian, it's known as John kind of Jonker.

to any tourists get bitten by insect in tropical country, dap a generous amount of brown Listerine on it. It soothes and stop it from swelling.

I will see if I can find it for next time. My problem though is that I am very allergic to all insects haha - even mosquito bites swell up very big. Thanks :)

Just suggestion..u only focus at the city of Melaka...not truly the original of Melaka community...the main race in Melaka was malay who was the original resident of Tanah Melayu(Malaysia).Next time ask someone there to visit Village of Melaka...more original...u can see The beautiful House..food ...heritage...people. Explore ... Just message me if u want more info...

We try to learn as much as we can from all places we travel to and through. This means that we only have a few days in each place, so we do not always have the time or resources to learn about it all when we also want to enjoy. Our aim is to show how travel is and not to make documentaries. I hope in future we will be able to revisit the beautiful Melaka again and learn more about its culture and history. Thanks for watching Matt!

1500 years ago the pennisular were part of the Chenla empire now Cambodia.1400 years ago it was then part of Srivijaya empire. It was that time the Song Dynasty of China started the silk road trade of sea and safe guard the pennisular together with Srivijaya.910 years ago begun the Dharmasraya Kingdom. Then came the Kingdom of Singhasari about 800 years ago.750 years ago came the Kingdom of Majapahit.Melaka form about 600 years ago and finally the Portuguese came around year1500.These were the histories that the Malaysia Government tried to wipe off through school history text books as well as brain wash generation into believing that Malaysia's Malay ethnic were the master of the land, and other ethnics were all migrants.Islam only been introduce into Malaya during the Melacca period by the Chinese Han's Hui ethnic through trading. That is why the culture and the ancient places of whorship of Malays, has so many similarity with the Hui,not the Arabs. The Arabs only set foot at the pennisular during the mid 1800,and even before that, were the Sri Lankans muslim. It is pathetic how some newly form race try very hard to kill off their ancestors, after they change their religion.
