Warning: Most of the classic animated movies on Disney+ (including this one) are NOT the original theatrical versions but yes the 2010's Diamond Edition DVD rereleases. Like for example: 1. The Lion King (2011 Diamond Edition) 2. Aladdin (2015 Diamond Edition) 3. Toy Story 1 & 2 (2010 DVD) 4. The Little Mermaid (2013 Diamond Edition) 5. Beauty and the Beast (2010 Diamond Edition) (well actually it's the 25th anniversary edition) 6. Hercules (2014 Special Edition) 7. Pinocchio (2009 70th anniversary edition) (w/2006 logo at the end) 8. Snow White (2009 Diamond Edition) (w/2006 logo at the end) 9. Sleeping Beauty (Platinum Edition) (w/2006 logo at the end) 10. The Jungle Book (40th Anniversary Edition) (w/2006 logo at the end) 11. Finding Nemo (2012 reissue) And 12. Monsters, Inc. (2013 reissue) But there are classic animated/non-animated movies on Disney+ that aren't the diamond editions for example: 1. Mulan 2. A Bug's Life 3. Tarzan 4. Pocahontas 4. A Goofy Movie and many others. So, Thank you Disney! YOU RUINED MY CHILDHOOD! SERIOUSLY I BECAME SO MAD WHEN I FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS! The only movies that include their theatrical versions are MCU movies, Lightyear and Avatar. So yeah.

Yeah if he had gotten knocked between the dresser and the wall there would have been some animosity between them still but I don't think anyone would have reacted a strongly as they did to him accidentally getting knocked out of the window. @@Daltinian95 Actually the reason why Woody wants Buzz stuck between the wall and table is so that Andy would take him to Pizza planet, have Andy spend more time with him than Buzz. "Why is this claw the most precise claw game I have ever seen?" Back in the 1970's or so, when arcade machines were just becoming the new teen hum or gathering place, claw machines were made a few years after some small mere games involving actual small, yet precise, construction machinery games, so when claw machines came to light they had no meter but a tension on how tight the claws would hold, and since they didn't have sensors attached to them yet, they would always have tight grips and would have more of a higher percent chance if winning than the modern day claw machines do, cus now people of the modern day can use a dial to tell it on how tight or how loose they want the claw to hold onto an item or how the item is held in claw machines, back then it wasn't as reserved as it is now

That was what I was told by my family whom just to happened to work in his youth at a arcade when crane games came out..also as much as it is a scam now in the modern day, back then, without the dial and the sensor to the claw, they would have more times needing maintenence back then than they do now, due to the fact rhat here was no dial or sensor to losses the grips, the claws would usually get stuck and jammed shut, cus of the gears and coils always interlocking when the claw closes or it grabs onto something and doesn't let go of it...nearly causing claw machines to fade away entirely cus unlike now where they are in a cord or wire, they were on two thin rods with a stretchable and very slow piston, that let the claw down without it moving, more times than not causing it to lock up

Toy Story is without a doubt one of my favorite CG animated films but also an influential animated film as not only it resulted in Pixar Animation Studios to become a household animation studio in CG animation, but it also was a massive hit when it launched and a gamechanger for animated films, it clearly was the "Snow White" of CG Animated movies. On top of that this film, this came out the same year when I was born: 1995. Surprisingly enough, despite Angelina (who reacted to the film) being "frightened" by the CG in Toy Story, for the first CG animated film in history, I wasn't scared/bothered by the CGI for this movie as the CG aged well since this film and VeggieTales I grew accustomed to CG animation along with 2D Animation, but Stop-Motion films (e.g. Nightmare Before Christmas, James and the Giant Peach, Aardman) that's another story. Looking forward to your upcoming reactions to the next _Toy Story_ films on the channel, especially the third film and thank you Timothee for reacting to One of my favorite Pixar films.

40:25 i loved this scene so much that i wish i could fly like that. Best time i saw this was Disney On Ice: Toy Story and i loved the effects they did for this.

The one scene that scares me is when Sid was burning Woody's forehead with the magnifying glass. I hate seeing that face with those terrible teeth with braces! 😱

Interesting to note: Billy Crystal would’ve played Buzz Lightyear initially, but he felt Toy Story wouldn’t stand a chance at making it big at the box office, so he left. What a regret he made at the time, only to find success with another Pixar film that would later become Monsters Inc.

They were originally supposed to have a GI Joe blown up, but Hasbro refused, saying they were upset with them blowing it up. The compromise they reached was that they could have Potato Head instead. Pixar agreed, and they made it a Combat Carl instead.

Similarly, Bo Peep was created when Mattel, predicting a flop, declined to license Barbie for this movie. This is up there with M&Ms/Mars passing on _E.T._ as one of the all-time bad calls in product placement. And now, Bo's slight retcon in the fourth movie makes sense.

To be honest, the first half of the movie basically a whole workplace seminar video about how to and not to behave. From how to handle a staff meeting 4:48, flirting in the workplace 4:09, to treat a new employee 8:10, and to spot discrimination towards your peers 12:09.

One thing I learned not too long ago is that for the kids showing up to Andy’s birthday party all had the same character model as Andy. Another thing I noticed between the 1st and 2nd movie is the house that Andy moved into looks pretty much the same but the surroundings drastically changed. It went from the house looking like it’s the only house in the area to being part of a neighborhood.

Welcome to the world of Pixar. Because this was the company's first film. And, in fact, Disney bought the company, so now Pixar Animation Studios will always be working alongside Walt Disney Pictures.

Not sure if you guys realized but during the Mrs. Nesbitt scene when Buzz says "Marie Antoinette and her little sister" is a French Revolution joke. But yeah the carpet is a reference to The Shining, so good catch with the references!
@peterspecht18972 жыл бұрын
Here are some fun facts about this movie. Firstly, as you were catching on, the animators were big fans of the film The Shining, so yes, that was the same carpet from The Shining. Secondly, Sid's toolbox is the brand Binford tools. This is a reference to Tim Allen’s ( the voice of Buzz) big other project at the time, the TV show Home Improvement, where his character worked as a TV handyman sponsored by the tool company Binford. (This would be like if Craftsman tools sponsored a handyman corner sort of TV show). Thirdly the semi-truck that almost ran Woody over as well as the gas station that was at, was all the brand Dinoco which would later appear in Pixar's film Cars. Lastly, when animating these characters, they did not have the ability to have the characters blink with both eyes at the same time. They hid it well, but if you watch every time someone blinks in this film, it is always one eye at a time. I love these films and all of Pixar's work. It is so fun to watch them with you.

You were bang on the money about Sid’s carpet being from the Shining! Also if you look closely his father has a bunch of empty cans around him, all of this implying he is a potentially abusive drunk.
