Thanks you’ve encouraged me to try the 285/75R18’s 34.8x11.3 on a 2025 2500HD with factory rims.

looking to get one for my Sierra. either this or the Wildpeak because of the snow here in Canada.
@Poconojoeg4 ай бұрын
Both are great tires. The weight kept me away from the wild peaks.. they’re considerably heavier than the Toyo. (Wear breaks faster and worse fuel mileage)

I want to do the same for my 24 Denali HD.. i haven't dived into any forums yet to see what guys are running on stock suspension wihtout rubbing. Do you think bumping up to this size will work on the denali trim as well?
@Poconojoeg11 ай бұрын
Yes I do. I honestly think this is the largest size without any chance of rubbing. I know there are guys running 35 x12.5 saying they not rubbing but I think it’s very tire dependent… I’m confident that 285/65 20 in all brands won’t rub.

Thanks for the video looking to do the same exact setup on my 2025 2500, AT4 but was wondering do you get any rubbing on your sway bar and I know the dimensions of the 285/65r20 are slightly wider and taller and it looks like it might rub on the front. Any info from you would be appreciated. Thanks and happy holidays!
@PoconojoegАй бұрын
No rubbing at all, even off road and hard usage. They are the perfect size.

@@Poconojoeg Just wanted to thank you for your info--had the same setup done today on my 2025, 2500, AT4. I put on some Mickey Thompson's 285/65R20 and their was no rubbing at all and the Bilsteen 5100, which both resulted in a much better ride. Cheers & Merry Christmas!

What kind of running boards are those?
@Poconojoeg10 ай бұрын
They are go rino running boards from real truck.com they are “ford raptor style” running boards.

How did they affect your fuel mileage compared to the factory tires?
@Poconojoeg5 ай бұрын
Really not much difference. I don’t drive highway unless towing, but around town it’s been negligible difference

Very nice setup. I have a 2021 2500 SLT x31 gasoline. Wonder if the height is the same as the AT4 version. I want to go with 285/65/20 as well. Can’t find much accurate info on it.

Height is the same as far as I know! you would be fine!

did you change the speedometer programing increasing the diameter? Any recommendations on that?
@Poconojoeg11 ай бұрын
No need too, it is now correct. With the factory tires it was off by 1-2 mph from gps (speed and distance traveled) it is now 100% correct on both.

I still think they are too small for the truck. I have the same truck and I may end up lifting it a little to fit 35’s.
@Poconojoeg5 ай бұрын
These are 35’s. A 35 x12.5 right next to it is the same height my friends own a tire shop, I just stayed with these as they are narrower (better in the snow).
@ZR1Terror4 ай бұрын
@@Poconojoegoh ok. I’ll look into getting these but I’m going to see if I can go 295.

Just them on my 2005 2500 hd
@Poconojoeg7 ай бұрын
they're holding up well. i am at 3500 miles on them now, and the 1/32 wear indicator just scrubbed off on all tires. So at this rate i'll get 42k out of them which is fantastic for my driving. (not much highway)
